Help need ideas for my dad's b-day!

I am clueless when it comes to shopping for my dad. He's going to be 57 tomorrow and once again I'm drawing a blank. He's retired and not into golf or any of the usual retired people activites. Anyone with any ideas?

Is he into movies? If so, maybe you can buy him a couple of dvds. Or you can just stick with the basics, shirts & ties.

My dad will be 58 tomorrow! He always buys himself something and we pay him back for it. I hate it but he likes it that way so we do that every year.

What about a nice picture frame with pics from the wedding? You could do a collage type of one. Just a thought.

Re: Help need ideas for my dad's b-day!

My dad and FIL will both be 63 this Thurs (FIL) and next THurs (my dad) and I have been stumped too.

DH bought his dad a new scale that he wanted (FIL is over 300 lbs and wanted a scale that could weigh him)

My dad will be another problem.

Ideas that I have that maybe you can use:

CD's, DVD's, Books on topics that he likes (for my dad, he loves jazz and big band music), clothes, slippers, something funky and gadgety from Brookstone or Sharper Image.
