My FH and his groomsmen will be wearing suits - the Blues Brothers look - suits with hats and sunglasses (to give the wedding a fun/playful look).
My question/dilemna is when is the normal timeline for looking into renting the suits and where do we rent them from? Two of the groomsmen live in NY and two live in rather Southern NJ...so we'll need a store with locations in both states...
Any idea on when this is typically done and if it HAS to be done at the same time - like with the girls' dresses????

Two months before the wedding is what a lot of places told me. They don't have to all get it at the same time ala bridesmaid dresses. We have groomsmen from all over and we picked the tux shop convenient to us and all the guys mailed us their measurements and deposits and they will pick them up two days before the wedding.

Here's the question though - do they all have to get it from the same shop? Can't the Jersey guys get it done with the shop location nearest them - or should it all be done at one??

If theyre going to the same shop that the other guys are going to, only in Jersey instead, Im sure they shouldnt have a problem. Just have the guys near you order the tuxes, get a style number, and then let the guys in Jersey know the style number so they can order the same suits!

If you use a chain, like mens warehouse, then the jeresy boys can get them in jersey and the islanders here.... Thats what we have to do too! But they call the store for you to make sure the guys are all getting the same stuff!

I didn't see a whole lot of good reviews on them - which is why i'm concerned. I did see two good reviews of Dante Zeller though - so we may wind up going that route. I don't know much about this stuff!!!!

All you need is the out of the area guys to give you their measurements which they can have taken at any suit shop. You give that to whatever place you have descided to use and a week before the wedding (or a day or too depending on when they are comming into tow) any alterations can be made.
