help printing menus

I have the long, thin card stock paper and I'm trying to put it through my printer, but it makes this horrible clicking sound and says to load paper. For some reason it doesn't recognize that paper. Is there something I'm doing wrong? I really don't want to have to go buy a paper cutter now. I thought this would be easy

Also, already tried changing the size in the print properties.

I have that problem often.

Try a few things:

you can help 'guide' one sheet through so that it picks it up

put only one in at a time (total pain in the butt, but guiding them isn't much easier)

or you can try your printer settings... sometimes there is an option to tell your printer that you're using a thicker paper, and then it will adjust whatever catches the paper......

sorry... i know how annoying that can be!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it's definitely the thickness. I just put through a regular sheet that I cut to the same size and it was fine. The paper is pretty thick. Hopefully I can figure it out.

Thanks for your help!

no problem. Any idea if there is a printer setting for how thick that is...

Just a warning, though. When I usually have that problem, I end up with all sorts of lines on the back of the paper from it being essentially forced through the printer.

Is there any way you can print on regular paper and adhere it to the cardstock?? I've always found this to be my best bet.......

Yeah, I might have to do that but was kind of hoping for the easy way out The paper is pretty thick. It's from paperstyle. I emailed envelopperinc.com and they're going to send me 5 free samples, so I'll see how thick their paper is. Thanks again!
