I've been looking for a certain Maggie and I've finally found it at the Bridal Shop in Mamaroneck. After calling about 30 bridal shops I feel like i won the lottery!!
So I'm thinking about taking a ride up there. It will be about an hour and 20 mins (as per yahoo) for me to get there or according to the nasty woman on the phone 'less than that because it only takes about an hour to get to the hamptons from here'
So just wondering is this place worth the drive?? Has anyone ordered a dress from them?? If so what did you think?? Do they have a lot of dresses??
Sorry for all the questions, I just don't want to drive up there and find out it was a waste.

Well, I don't know anything about it, but maybe even if you don't like the shop, you will get to try on the dress there and see if you really love it. You can order it from any shop that carries Maggies (they will order it for you), but you'll obviously want to try it on first! So it might be worth it just for the try on, and then you can order it from somewhere more convenient for you!
I got a Maggie that I only found at one place, and ended up ordering it there, but other stores said they would order it for me even though they didn't have it in stock to try on.

If its the dress you absolutely want, then its definitely worth the drive. I never bought anything there, but I was there with friend last year helping her try on dresses. There was no service at all. It was basically my friend and 4 bridesmaids in a little assembly line helping her get into and out of the dresses.

I was contemplating driving there for bridesmaid dresses not too long ago. I'm only 45 minutes from there, so for me, that's not a bad drive. They definitely have very good prices from what I've seen on the website. So it might be worth it to go there. I've read a few posts on here (not too many posts though about this place) saying they're not great with customer service, but they do have good prices. So I'd say maybe check it out.
Lillette's in Baldwin carries a lot of Maggies. Maybe ask them if they could order it for you.

i think it's worth a shot if you think this dress may be the one. i've been there, it's smallish, but there's a pretty good selection of dresses. it's not one of those bridal salons where they cater to your every needs. they pretty much leave you alone until you're ready to try things on. i've heard the customer service isn't that great. so, definitely get the dress elsewhere if you decide you want to order it.

I stopped by the Bridal shop on my way home from a meeting in CT. I was by myself on a weekday and the service was OK. They had a HUGE selection. I agree with what some of the other girls said, you can always go up there to try on the dress and then see if you can order it from someplace closer.

Go for it! If its the dress of your dreams it will totally be worth the trip. Marmomoneck definitely will take you less time than that.
