help - wedding gown doubts

ok so as most of you know i posted my gown that i got yesterday.

i was excited when i was trying on my dress and really thought i loved it....but last night i couldnt sleep bc i just kept having doubts if it was really the 'one'....again all day it was making me really nervous/upset....i think the dress is beautiful and it was flattering but i am just wondering if i made my decision too fast

my mom called rk bridal and they said we can stop the order but we would lose the deposit (like 500 bucks)...my mom is being awesome and keeps telling me she doesnt care about the money and wants me to LOVE my dress so if i want to cancel it now we can just walk away....even if i end up doing back to that dress she says thats fine...she just wants me to make sure i am happy and not stressing out for the next year or so about the dress

sooo i am torn on what to do....i mean i know my mom is willing to cancel the dress tonight if thats what i want...but i do really like the dress..im just having doubts....ahh any advice would be appreciated

i think you should go dress shopping some more. you are having doubts because you havent tried on a bunch of others -- but this one may really be the best.

i dont think you should cancel the order yet. she is going to lose the deposit anyway right? so go this week and try on tons of dresses and see if you are still in love with the RK one.

when i went to davids bridal they told me that if i ordered a dress and changed my mind later on i wouldnt lose any money if i bought another dress from them ( i guess they would just transfer the deposit money over to the other dress) .. maybe you should see if they have a similar policy, so you can keep looking there.

we asked but they won't let us use the deposit towards another dress...i think rk has a stricter policy than most bridal places

I say keep looking. If you're not certain, then you won't be happy on your big day, and that's what is most important

will they allow you to use the deposit towards another dress?

by law they you have 24 hours to back out of any contract ... technically 3 days ....

I would fight them on this one

If your not 100% and if you have doubts I would keep looking. See if you can put it on hold for at least a week and try on other gowns.

what s the designer of the dress and the name of it? i got my dress at RK too. I only tried on like 7 dresses and that was the only store I looked at. I love my dress and Im glad I didn't look a zillion times. There are a million things to do for the wedding and I'm glad I didn't make finding the dress another chore. ... let us see it so we can tell u what we think! But in the end, just go with your gut.

if your already having doubts then i wouldn't order it.....i think its natural for girls to have doubts a few months later bc you haven't seen it in awhile, but its only been 24hrs for you. - jmo

I know it's not about the money, but if your mom put the deposit on a credit card she has three days to cancel the order. I'd go back and try the dress on again, and other dresses... see how you feel.

Sleep on it, since returning it's not an issue just relax and make sure you're happy with whatever you choose. It'll all be OK.

i posted it yesterday its la sposa melodia

i think its a beautiful dress but i am just having doubts....i originally wanted a longer train and this one doesnt really have one...i thought that i didn't care but its bothering me that i dont have the train.

i just spoke with my mom and we decided to ask them if they will put it on hold but if not then we will just cancel it....i just feel like i wouldnt be having doubts if it was 'the one'...who knows...maybe i will go back to this dress but at least i will know for sure then...

I know exactly how you feel, I started looking for dresses last summer!! and could not find anything i wanted! when i finally thought I have found it!! (didn't order it though) I didn't it get the this is it feeling with the gowns i tried on!...If you are having doubts that means that you are probably not inlove 100% the dress is gorgeous though but you like your mom says you have to love the dress!!! try it one more time maybe and see if its it!! if not look for other dresses RK bridal has a huge selection!! good luck

at least your moms not giving you a hard time about it..... i would try to put the order on hold if thats possible just so you can confirm that this is the dress for you and maybe try looking at some other dresses too for reassurance

ITA... go with your gut and try not to 'think' about how nice it is. Put it on hold like everyone said and try a few more on. Don't rush it though just because you want to make a decision about the dress you go.

if you paid credit card i would dispute the charge

my mom put it on her credit card...she has been working on them at least letting me use the deposit towards another dress but i dont know if she is having any luck...ill keep you all updated
