help with centerpieces!

help with centerpieces!

So long story short I am supplying my florist with the vases for my centerpieces. I am getting black glass cylinder vases that will have hydragngeas in them. The vase will be surrounded by three book page wrapped soup cans that will have a hydragnea in them and a candle in between each can. What height should I order the cylinder vases in? Should I do them all the same or some tall and some short, the vases aren't clear so people won't be able to see through them but I feel like if they are tall enough it won't be a problem. I also don't want them to be so tall that the little soup cans look silly. Any thoughts? Here is a link to the vases http://www.dfwvases.com/Products-Black_and_White_Vases.html Thanks ladies!

A lot of people do alternating heights which is nice but if I'm picturing it correctly in my head, I wouldn't go too tall based on the height of the can next to it. Sorry not sure how much help I was lol

Also just wondering what your florist quoted you for the hydrangeas if you don't mind sharing? Did they quote by stem? I love this flower but not sure how expensive?

Re: help with centerpieces!

I'm using a retired florist who works from home so I am not sure if the prices are comparable to florists who work out of shops but she said if I provide the vases it would be around 60 dollars a table. So each soup can is getting one stem and then their will be several stems in the main vase. I think they are a pretty affordable flower because I originally was going to go go with carnation balls to save money and she recommended hydrangeas because they have a similar effect and a larger so you require less stems.
