Help with flights

My FI and I still do not have plane tickets to fly home to NY for our own wedding!!!! I keep looking for cheaper prices on Expedia from San Diego to Long Island and the tickets are at least $420 each in July. Does anyone have any recommendations of where I can find cheaper flights? I've been waiting for a sale on Southwest, but they don't always have the sale for San Diego to Islip. Please help!!!

Re: Help with flights

You will have more of an option if you fly to Laguardia. Islip in general is an expensive place to fly in and out of- the prices are always more. Laguardia and kennedy are always way cheaper.

Travel for Less
I agree with Sunny, you should also check flights coming into LGA and JFK.
Good Luck!

Re: Help with flights

Try travelocity.com
Put your itinerary in for the fare watchers.
But true, flying into McCarthur is always more expensive. If you do LGA or JFK, you'll be much better off.

I third Jet Blue!!! : ). Awesome flights and relatively cheap. And you can watch your own tv. Can't get much better than that lol.

I don't think Jet Blue offers flights from San Diego. They have a very limited number of airports. In CA, I think its just Oakland and Long Beach.

I was just going to say that. Jet Blue doesn't fly to San Diego.
Check Orbitz.com
I usually get my cheaper flights through them. And they have web fares.

Re: Help with flights

I'm a big fan of Orbitz. I'm not sure the exact dates/times you wanted to travel, but they have a round trip flight San Diego to Newark for $268. Well worth the extra travel time from Newark to save $300.

The cheapest I could find to Islip was $391, but had two stops. Icky.
