Help with Inkspun!!! (kinda long)

So I normally just lurk on these boards to get advice from all you lovely ladies, but I have a little dilemna I need your help on. Based on all the great reviews I contacted Bill from Inkspun about 3 weeks ago. He seemed a little hurried and said he was really busy but would send me samples and that it would only take a few days after he received my guest list and envelopes to turn it around. He forgot to send the samples so I tried to contact him a couple more times and it turns out he was on vacation for a week. When he got back he sent the samples and then again reassured me that I should just email him the guest list and he would turn it around in a couple of days. So I sent him my guest list on a Weds or Thurs and called on Friday to make sure he got it. He said yes, he would have proofs by the end of the weekend and I could go ahead and send him my envelopes in the meanwhile. The weekend came and went so I called to follow up on Monday. He said he would have the proofs by the end of the day Monday. It is now Wednesday and I haven't heard back from him. I am a bit frustrated since he kept reassuring me that he would get everything back to me in a few days and I waited till he was back from vacation under this assumption. Now, my RSVP is 3 weeks away and I have nothing from Bill. I called yesterday and left a message but don't want to seem like I am harassing him or like a complete bridezilla but I'm getting very anxious. What should I do???

I would give him till tomorrow and then follow up if you still don't hear anything.

Unfortunately, with him being on vacation, and you needing a very quick turnaround, it just seems like it was probably just bad timing - that's all.

Don't worry! And, don't feel like you are being annoying - they are your invites and they need to go out!!!!

Hang in there, I'm sure it'll be well worth it!

If he told you it would be done, it should be done, and you are not at all being unreasonable to call and check up on it. It sounds like for whatever reason, this has been falling through the cracks a bit. I would be on the phone as often as need be in a nice, but assertive way to be SURE that this was completed, especially with your RSVP date. And do NOT feel badly--it's not your fault or your issue that someone goes on vacation. If a business or person says something will be done, it's their responsibility to make sure it is. Good luck!! No go call....

I spoke to him earlier today. I'd call again today. I had the same experience - I felt like I was tracking him down for my proofs and there was a lapse in his responses to my e-mails. But, I just got the finished product back Monday and I'm very happy with the job - especially for the price.

WedHead - how long from the time you emailed him your list till he got the envelopes back to you? I don't mind so much if he was busy and let me know that it would take some time. It's just that he kept telling me today, you'll get it today.

Thanks for the support ladies. Sometimes you just need to vent.

I sent my original list 7/6 but sent a couple revisions after that. My final list was sent 7/12 but it overlapped with him sending me proofs (on 7/12) of the 7/11 list. I went over it immediately and called him with corrections 7/13. I got them back 7/18. Two outer envelopes were missing (which I noticed last night). So I called him today and he said he'd do them ASAP.

I also spoke to Bill last week. It seems he's very very busy this time of year and he's a little bit behind.
With the prices he charges, it's no wonder he's busy.
