It's a really good price. I just got married there two weeks ago on a Friday night in October and I paid more than that, which makes sense, but I feel like the adjustment for month and time would be around what they quoted you. Plus, NRC throws an AMAZING affair. I cannot say enough wonderful things about them! FM me if you have any questions.

Re: Help with Reception Hall Pricing
The most they can say is no. It realy doesn't hurt to try we tried and they knocked off 5 bucks of our price that they quoted us. It really helps in the long run.
Welcome to LIW and Congrats on your engagement!

Re: Help with Reception Hall Pricing
not bad at all!! I am paying more than that for a sat. night in July and they aren't throwing things in.
You can try to get a lower cost, but if you love it and have already compared it to other places then go for it! If FH really can't rest until he tries, then let him lol

Re: Help with Reception Hall Pricing
Congrats!!
Looking at places is stressful as it is! That sounds like a VERY good price. I'm looking for around the same time of year on a Sat night and am getting higher quotes with NO Viennese and NO raw bar! Ask about the discount if it makes your FH happy, but if you LOVEEE the place, I would still book it anyway, even if they won't budge. In the end, the $3 per person is the equivalent to a favor. It won't make a dent in the grand scheme of things! Good luck!!

Re: Help with Reception Hall Pricing
I think with all the little things that are included, that's an excellent price. however, it sounds like FH is uncomfortable. To put him at ease, why don't you take him to a couple of other halls to show him that you guys are getting the best bang for your buck?

Thats a great price. You are getting a lot for your money. It never hurts to ask, but they will probaby stick to that price since they are giving you so much.

Welcome to LIW!
so lets talk #'s...
lets say you anticipate 150 guests ...at $87 after tax thats $112 per person...say you got that discount that your FH want... reduce price by $3 .... there is only a $600 difference on savings... which is great but with those extras - your RH def is giving you and your FH a great deal...
yea! it would BOOK IT esp since you love it with or w/o $3 off .... :)
good luck!

Re: Help with Reception Hall Pricing
I'm getting married there on a Saturday evening in June and of course because of time and month, I'm paying more, but that sounds like an AMAZING price!
NRC is very accomodating......I know your FH wants $3pp taken off, but you're getting the sushi bar, seafood station, and VH thrown in which are ALL upgrades. The VH alone is generally an extra $10pp......
I've heard nothing but rave reviews on NRC, and have no doubts at all for my day. You can't go wrong.

Congratulations on your engagement!!
I think that's an excellent price that The North Ritz gave you. I looked there when I was searching for a RH, and they didn't include the raw bar or the v. hour. I would take that deal if you really love the place. The best thing is that The North Ritz only hosts one wedding at a time.

Re: Help with Reception Hall Pricing
I think that's a great price! If you love it and have 'the feeling' then you should def book it! Everyone always said I will just know when I find the right place--and I did! You seem to have that feeling with NRC so GO FOR IT! You can always try to save money on flowers or something else to make up the $3 difference per person. Good Luck!

I think that's a great price. You'd probably be more successful trying to negotiate them adding in more food options than lowering the price.

Re: Help with Reception Hall Pricing
I think $87/pp becomes somewhere around $110/pp when you include taxes, gratuity, etc. So $3 off pp is going to be significant, depending on how many people it is.
The price sounds competitive from what I've heard for all that, although I'm thinking about '09 prices, in which case it could be very good.
