Help...I don't like my reception hall

Original post by raisin

I booked Russo's on the Bay for 2007 and I'm having second thoughts about it. Everyone I talk to has had nothing but good things to say. I've never been to a function there so I'm not really sure what to expect. My FH loves it but I hate how it's on a busy road and that it has no gardens or grounds. I feel as if there is nothing majestic about it. I'm so confused I don't know what to do HELP!

I LOVED Russos! We just didn't have enough people to guarantee for a Saturday night wedding. Since a lot of our guests are OOT, my parents didn't want to have a Sunday wedding. But if we could have had it there, we would. FH really wanted it there too.

I have heard nothing but AMAZING things about Russo's!

you still have time to change it, but make sure it's really what you want to do.

I have heard really good things about Russos on the bay. A guy I work with GF family always have function their and love it. I have never been their before, but I saw the place on a episode of Growing up Gotti. I don't like the elevator in the middle of the floor, I think that is pretty chessy. (Sorry for people who have used it or going to use it).

Living in Ozone Park all my life, i constantly pass Russo's on the Bay.
I've also been to a lot of parties there and its always amazing. The food, the decor, service, etc.
I would have had my wedding there except we felt like it was too close to home.
While its on a busy road, its at the end of Xbay, so its not THAT busy once you get down there. They also have renovated the outside, and it looks beautiful. Theres a gazebo in the back to take pics, and not too far away, theres a beach-and a park-Charles Park.
I can understand your concerns, but I would give Russos nothing but an A+.

Theres 3 rooms you can have it in and you dont neccessarily need to come out of the floor, lol.Its just an added touch.

We are also having our wedding at a reception site that is on a somewhat busy road. But thats doesnt really bother me. The party is inside not the grounds surrounding it. Russo's is awesome. Food has always been good and the service is terrific. My fh wanted to have our wedding there but for a Sat in July we just couldnt afford it.
