After the way Ive heard of bodies being treated after they die... I couldnt do it...

Def understand what you are saying and agree!
But I want to be cremated... And some people may think this is sick.. But I want each of my children to be given a necklace with a little charm on it that has some of my ashes in it... I want them to have me with them at all times.... And then I want the rest of my ashes to be placed in 1 of those walls at the cemetery, and I want mine and FH's ashes to be mixed together in 1 urn... So we will be together forever and always.

no its not sick, its your wishes so do what makes you happy. My dad was watching this thing where they cremate the person and can turn it into a diamond somehow, i think some rich famous person requested this, and my dad said thats what he wants and wants me to make a ring out of him and carry it at all times, uhmmm i guess he also didn't realize how much this costs lol.

I would never have the money to do it but its a really nice thought!!!
They can use the ashes and put them into a tattoo as well now...
When my father goes, which I hate thinking about, he wants to be cremated and I am going to get a tattoo with his ashes.... Im the only one that is very close with my father so I know Ill be in control of his ashes..... I think I might keep some, get the tattoo, and somehow spread them over Alaska... Thats the one place he has always wanted to go to and never has or will be able to... So I def want him to be able to go there....

I will not sign my license because of the stoires/urban legends -- but my FH and Family all know that if it ever came (god forbid) to making a decision like that -- let them take what they need. I am not going to need them anymore so let someone else have them!

i WANT to be an organ donor... but the whole concept scares me. So once i'm actually dead... and definitely don't need anything anymore, they can have them.

your family really gets to make that choice in the end if you don't sign a card? i never knew that.

many times if a family member is dying and especially they know of somebody who does need it or are just a doctor that is very into dying ppl getting an organ(in a good way, not conspiracy way lol) then they will ask the family...honestly though they might ask in alot of situations...sometimes if somebody is very close to dying and waiting for a match, and hospitals are given word of this so they will be looking for this, people will have lets say 36 hours to live so they will do what they can and maybe convince a family to donate organs

From what I understand if the card is not signed they will ask the family. I personally have told my family that if the doctor doesn't ask -- offer it up.

My family also knows to never keep me on life support -- but that is a whole other topic!

see i have no idea what i want with the whole life support thing...part of me says i dont want to be kept on life support but then you hear of ppl waking up from a coma and are fine. This one is hard for me...however if doctors say that i am brain dead then that is different

I agree! I will donate if I am truly dying, My entire family knows that! I will leave it for them to decide, they know how I feel! I don't need it on my license.

Honestly, I think those of you who are donors are amazing.

I've thought of it a few times but something keeps holding me back..i'll have to look into it more now...

For some strange reason the whole thing just kinda freaks me out!
