Here is my Review of our July 26th Wedding!
Ok For those who have waited here is a review of ‘our’ big day. We got lucky and had an absolutely beautifully HOT day!!! (The curse of Frankie's mother did not happen on our wedding!
I guess I will start with the bad first!
Bridal Suite of Patchogue F-! What can I say about them that I have not said already, they SUCK!
Salon de Leisure F-----! For those that miss my post DON”T go there! They advertise that they specialize in Bridal Parties- They don’t! They had 1 nail dryer. They had one girl to do manicures and one (who was really a hairstylist) to do pedicures. They did not even have a pedicure tub! They knew how big our party was they could not handle it. They told us we could bring in food and they had no place for us. They burned me when they waxed my eyebrow! The only positive that I can say was that the massage was good. That is the only positive!
Ok onto the good stuff!
Paradise Bridal—What can I say about Peter Jr and his staff, they took on a situation that they didn’t have to and made it all better. He got me my dress! He was able to correct Bea’s other mistakes; taking the dress in from a 10 to a 0, did her alterations in 2 days!, did all my girls’ alterations at our convience, they offered to get me a new Matron of honor’s dress. They are just wonderful and amazing!
Vivid video and Photography- I have to wait to see my proof obviously but this my impression of them so far—They are just the sweetest most wonderful people ever!! When everything happened with my dress, Kathy called to check on my on several occasions, she offered her help in anyway she could, they were amazing. Every time something went wrong they were right there to help us!! They were able to deal with my bad temper and me and me wanting to cry (more on that later), they still got everyone of the shots that I asked for! Nelson the videographer was completely invisible. We both hardly knew that he was there!
Carol Ann’s Creations- People raved about my favors. She did a wonderful job and when I ran short in the end she was able to get me the ones that I needed with less than a week to go!! She is a sweetie and her work is amazing.
Danielle Reneé—She arrived much earlier then she had to! She was set up and ready to go when I got back from the hair salon (we were on an extremely tight schedule)! She did an AMAZING job covering my Mother’s scar. It is big and deep and I could not see it no matter how she moved!! The airbrushing was flawless! She covered both of the burns caused by Salon De Leisure. She was able to deal with all of the chaos going on in my house and my mother’s dog!! The makeup looked amazing!
Naked Truth—I have to be honest, they were not my first choice they were a tradition in Frankie’s family so I have to say I expected an OK performance. Well I was WRONG they were absolutely incredible!!! I was told that I should not expect a lot of people up and dancing at a day wedding and they had everyone up! When they sang our song (Taking you home) I actually had to ask Frankie if it was the band or a CD! They were PHENOMINAL! Anyone who is using them—you will NOT be disappointed!
Follow Your Heart- What can I say about Kathy that has not already been said! She is so sweet and cares so much about her brides!!
With All My Heart- Lenea was so sweet and patient in dealing with us. She really helped us get started in the very beginning!
East Wind Caterers—If you are getting married there you have absolutely nothing to worry about! Kathy our Maitre D’ took care of every little detail. One example- we had requested a special plate of cocktail franks for my Stepfather and she made sure he got them, before I could even ask. All the requests that I made were done exactly the way that I asked. The food was incredible, seconds were served. I have not heard one single complaint about anything. Everything was flawless. People have even told me that our wedding was better then their own children’s weddings. I don’t know what else to say to all of you other than they truly are professionals and know exactly how to handle everything with such class!
Little Flower Shop- Amazing! I walked in knowing nothing! All I knew is that I wanted hydrangea and no red roses. Ron took care of everything and it was amazing! I cried when I saw the girls’ bouquets! I loved my centerpieces (he put the 3rd candle in). Everything was set up EXACTLY the way that I asked for it to be!
