This may have been asked already, but what is the average amount to spend on each BP member? I have 23 people in my BP, plus parents! If you don't mind, what price range are you looking at when you purchase or have purchased these gifts? Thanks!
OH - Also, do you get gifts for the readers and hostess? (Thanks Lizlen for this idea, I'm utilizing that title! ) And grandmother???
HELP! I still have 9 months to go, BUT, I should really get started on some of these things!

Re: Here's a question about BP gifts...
I am going to spend about $50 on each person in the BP and $50 on the reader. But we only have 9 people in the bridal party. I have been in a large BP and they spent about $25 each, we got nice silver bracelets to wear to the wedding.

Re: Here's a question about BP gifts...
I have budgeted $50 each but of course everything I am looking at is at least $70. So it will probably end up b/w $50 - $100 each. BUT - I don't have 23 people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Here's a question about BP gifts...
Thanks! I guess I should've specified that that total includes - 2 FGs, 1 Jr. BM, 1 RB & 1 Jr. GM too, so it's not all adults, but I'm just stuck here!!

Re: Here's a question about BP gifts...
OctBride03 I'm at a standstill w/this also. Aside from buying the jewelry, I want to get each a basketful of goodies instead of ONE gift that no one will use. SO far in my basket is a mini perfume of their favorite (TriCounty) 2 of my MOH, a couple of wine stoppers (C&B) Candles for all, they all love that PJs for a couple of them Fuzzy slippers 1 of them - she loves these Compact mirror for sis Bath salts
See, a basketfull of goodies should make them happy I just need more ideas

Re: Here's a question about BP gifts...
Oh and the readers and such I think I am just giving them flowers (or bouts). Would probably have given my grandmother a gift, but we were very close (she passed away). And parents about $100 - $150. Probably more for his mom cuz we're paying for her dress and flight from Fla.

ONE MORE - for my 2 sisters who are also in BP, aside from their basket, I'm giving them tickets to Mama Mia on broadway. And the MOHs -- I'm paying for their airbrush makeup by JN.

Basically OctBride, what we're looking at is a lot of cash
For FGs and Mini Bride, getting Barbie dolls For RB, I have NO idea Jr BM and Jr. Hostesses, something age appropriate, what? Maybe a nice gift set like a diary and stationary set.

Re: Here's a question about BP gifts...
Thanks ladies! Liz, I love your idea with the goodie basket, my MOH loves wine stoppers and stuff, maybe I'll steal that idea from you! And I also love the idea you have for your Jr. BM with the diary and stationary, I remember when I was in like 5, 6, 7, 8th grade, I used to LOVE all that kind of stuff!
April2603 - I'm sorry to hear about your grandmother. We only have one grandmother between the two of us - maybe I'll get her the hankie I will probably get the moms.

Re: Here's a question about BP gifts...
I think it all depends on your event and budget. You need to decide on what your friends/family will like. I didn't spend the same amount on each person. I got different people, different gifts. I gave the girls all bath baskets full of monogram robe, bubble bath etc... the guys got different gifts depending on their hobbies. I gave the parents each a personalized hankie.

Re: Here's a question about BP gifts...
This is just my opinion but i feel very strongly on this matter and see many brides makes excuses for not doing what I personally feel is minimally appropriate:
I dont think there is a necessary dollar amount to spend but I think its important that everyone who accepted the honor (and carries out the responsibilities and bears the cost of doing so) of being in your party receive a heartfelt thank you and a thoughtful gift. (A thoughtful gift can be something of very little or even no monetary value) That fact that you have a very large bridal party should not diminish this responsibiliy IMO - if you had one person in your BP or 100, each one deserves these things.
That being said, since your party is so large and I assume you have a limited budget - I think its probably a good idea to get started on these things right away. That way you have ample time to find a perfect gift for each person without being rushed into the traditional trappings.
I spent a LOT on my bridal party because I could afford it and because I worked it into my budget from Day one. If it were a choice of having a limo or giving our BP appriopriate gifts - I would have went with the gifts in a second.
I know some people will disagree but this is just my opinion.

Re: Here's a question about BP gifts...
Stef, I totally respect your input. Budget is not really an issue here, I guess I was just trying to get ideas. I had always thought you get jewerly to wear on the day and that's your gift (atleast that's how it was when I've been in BPs). But now I see that it's more personal nowadays. Thanks for your response!
Also, to the other ladies! Thank you again!!! Liz, thanks for letting me 'steal' your ideas! haha! If I ever come up with a good one, you can have it!
