Re: heritage
Mom's 100% Italian Dad's 75% Italian, 25% German FH's Mom 75% Italian, 25% Irish FH's Dad 100% Italian
They were all Born & Raised in Brooklyn. I was Born in Brooklyn and Raised in Queens.
There are no conflicts at all, when I'm with FH's extended family I feel like I'm with my own family. We are all loud and talk at the same time. Someone's dancing while stirring the macaroni, there's always a card game going on somewhere in the house and we just make lots of noise all the time!

Re: heritage
i was born in the US but my family is Punjabi. DH was born in Thailand but he's Punjabi too. No conflicts whatsoever, because I couldn't see myself marrying anyone who wasn't from the same heritage as me. I know most people don't feel this way, but for me personally it wasn't even an option.

Re: heritage
My father was half Native American and half Puerto Rican, and my mom is mostly English and a little German. So I'm my own worst enemy, historically speaking! My background makes for interesting conversations, no one can ever guess what I am.

Oh yeah. FH loves going to the VFW lounge in my dad. He's a vet, FH isn't. It's really funny. He's gone to a few places w/ Dad and all Dad's friends love him. Figures, right?!?! LOL

Born & raised in the USA Dad - Italian Mon - Spanish
DH's father was a member of la Resistance in Paris during WWII...my great uncle fought in the German army (say what you want...but he didn't have much of a choice) and he never came back (they never found his body)
