I was in Queens on Friday, so since I will be going back tomorrow morning, I decided spur of the moment to leave him at grandma's till SUnday. Grandparent time is priceless, so any I can squeeze in here and there.... Needless to say, she was BEYOND thrilled...
I missed him from the moment I drove away !!!! But I really love how he stays anywhere and is so happy wherever he is..
John and I had a fun nite last nite too (even though we talked about him every second ) We went to a restaurant we hadnt been to in a while, and then we went to Dave&Busters and played videogames & SkeeBall like 2 big kids in a toystore... It was a really fun date-nite, felt like we were dating again and had no other worries in the world... but we did miss that little rugrat!

Date nights are soooo important and so are some free of baby nights. You need time together. So I think it is great that your parents give you that. Plus, grandparent time is a wonderful thing to have.

Glad you were able to have fun even though you missed him so (understandably!).
We are going to a wedding tonight, my parents and sisters will be with Lyla. My sister has twins that are 4 months, so it will 5 adults with 3 babies. BUT, Lyla can sometimes be like 2 babies!!
We've only been away from her 2x, 2 hours each time. Tonight will be more like 4-5 hours, and she got her shots yesterday, so I hope I can enjoy myself.

Tommy slept at grandma's last night also. We had a wedding.........
anna...sounds like a great time!!!! DH and I took his cousin away to the movies - the first time she was ever apart from her daughter...and it was tough for her...but she enjoyed herself...
my mother said that my grandmother would come over in a heartbeat if my parents wanted to go out...so nice that grandparents do that...I had an awesome relationship with gma b/c of it!!!

That's cool that you had some time to yourselves. You deserve it. You got to have a fun nite out and grandma and grandpa got to have fun with their grandson. Bonding time is great and it's a blessing to have our parents there for us. My mother-in-law always says that if I have a baby that she would come down for like a week and help me out if I wanted her too.

I know this is tough…but such a great thing for you two to do! You just started on the road of being able to have a little life away from your prince!! It's good to remember each other and spend some quality time. Glad you had a great time! And I am sure Grandma had an even better time than you!!!
You are fortunate to have the family around to help you out that way.
