Not intentionally, though FH and I have been so busy and exhausted the last few weeks, it's basically happening for us!

Does the priest really ask you separately if you have had sex? How did everyone respond?

This has to be one of the most funniest forums I've read. This topic has actually pasted my mind. I still don't know yet. I like what somethingblu said about being tired on your wedding night but still going at it because you didn't get any for a couple of months. Something to think about.

I dont see the point either- no matter what your wedding night will be amazing- youre allready having sex- why stop now??????? for the wedding? like a poster said before what does that mean its back to boring sex after the wedding? you need to cut him off- to have amazing sex? I just dont get it- sorry.
when youre away thats different- youre away- but to cut someone off intentionally??? just seems odd. sorry .

I personally think its kind of silly. Sorry JMHO I mean you have had sex before.... even if you had sex the day before your wedding I think your wedding night will be special no matter what. I just don't see how 'cutting him off' for a few months changes anything
I totally see Maxine's point and a few people (brides) told me this same thing.
However, we chose to withhold for a bit (about 2 months) and it's not just that the wedding night was beautiful (it would have been regardless) is that even though we were dead tired, we made sure we 'consumated' and I hear lots of couples don't - so I think waiting made us that much more willing to stay up!...Sorry if TMI!
Go for it...and enjoy!
ETA: Another bonus was that as our date got closer, we were able to connect on an emotional level - yeah, it stinks not to have sex since it's a great stress reliever - but it was so nice to have deep conversations about our future and share our frustrations, emotions and hopes without me thinking that he was being nice just 'to get some'.
I don't think thats true. Even though I did not 'cut off' DH before the wedding we still stayed up and consimated the marriage even though we were both dead tired.
I have actually heard from many newlyweds who did do this and were STILL too tired too and didn't comsimate till the next morning or later.. so I don't think that really has anything to do with it.

right on somethingblu! we made sure we consumated too! i think everyone of my BMs who are all married passed out from being tired but we totally made sure that didn't happen!
OH but ETA--there was no withholding--that just wouldn't work, teehee!
i can however see your point with the 'long trip' example...

That's cool - it's your opinion.
Have you ever gone away on a long trip without FH? WHen you come back and you see each other, isn't that amazing? This is sort of the same thing...
And Yes, I agree with you - your wedding night will be extra special no matter what.
I totally agree with you...I want FH and I to do the same thing!

Re: He's cut off soon!
I would do it, but FI prob would not agree...so we aren't .....I do agree that it will be special either way, but I know that when FI and I can't do it for a long time (travel etc.) and then we do, it is extra amazing!
