EXACTLY!!!!

OMG!!! Forget him!! I wouldn't last myself!!!

DH and I gave it up for Lent and then kept going without it until our wedding in June. It was really great. We really came together as a couple on an emotional level and realized that when we get old and maybe can't do it that much, we will still have good conversation to help us through the golden years.

Since he is still in LA, and I am in NY, we will forgo for a week and one day exactly. I don't know how I would have gotten through all this without it.

That's right ladies - I'm 're-virginizing' us before the wedding! Cutting him off some time in late September... oh boy!!! Someone please help! ahh!!

My sister did the same thing. At the 3 month mark she cut him off.

IMO, I wouldn’t recommend it. lol

let’s just say that things got UGLY in the weeks leading up to the wedding. sex is a huge stress reliever and as we ALL know, wedding planning is stressful!!

I'm not cutting him off on purpose, but I'm moving home the week before the wedding to take care of last minute things. So no action for us.

I was thinking of giving it a try- who knows how long it will last though....

This is a really interesting conversation, it's nice to hear all the different opinions. Can't say that I totally understand the cutting off thing. I really feel like in addition to some really great conversation that we already have now, that having that physical part of the relationship is part of our intimacy, both emotionally and physically. Wouldn't want to cut that out as we got closer to one of the *most* intimate days of our lives together. And besides...FH would laugh his *ss off if I ever suggested this (which I wouldn't) BUT....to each his/her own

i give you credit. i know for a fact neither one of us would be able to last without. but it makes sense, you guys will be crazy about each other that night. just hope 'it' lasts

awww, that's so sweet!!!

We didn't cut each other off by choice. It just sort of happened with everything going on. We were so Gung Ho on having SEX (even a quickie) the night of our wedding and we wound up falling asleep on each other. We had a jacuzzi hotel room with all the little extras. We just couldn't make it. We almost didn't even make it to the hotel room, but we forced ourselves. I guess it didn't help that I was pretty wasted out of my mind. BUT, the next night was AMAZING !!!

I personally think its kind of silly. Sorry JMHO
I mean you have had sex before.... even if you had sex the day before your wedding I think your wedding night will be special no matter what.
I just don't see how 'cutting him off' for a few months changes anything

Have you ever gone away on a long trip without FH? WHen you come back and you see each other, isn't that amazing? This is sort of the same thing...

And Yes, I agree with you - your wedding night will be extra special no matter what.

we did it, but we really didn't plan on it. It just sorta happened...from being so busy with planning and not seeing a lot of each other (we work crazy hours). It was really nice on the wedding night. We were really looking forward to it
