Hey girls!! What would you doo???? Please help !

Hey girls...so FH and I have 6 weddings to attend next year that we are invited to..YIKES for our bank account lol... but still all good things...

2 weddings of which are BOTH of my sisters which we are in their wedding parties... 1 other we are both in the wedding party and its our best friends wedding.. ANOTHER in September 20111 is actually in GERMANY!!

We are totally debating on going to Germany but we are pretty close with this couple and I think ti would be AWESOME. My mom was actually born in Germany (Munich) so I feel like such an urge and connection to go back there considering im a lot German and I have never been there. Not to mention that it is an actual German wedding there and we will DEFINITELY NEVER be invited to another wedding in Germany let alone Europe EVER again!! ... I feel like its such an experience we need to go through with but the subject of expenses can be an issue... In addition to all this OUR wedding is 9months after this one. But FH and I are saving very well and we have a lot of help from our parents... Should we do it ??? Shoudl we go to Germany?!?

What would you girls do???

PS - The groom that is getting married there, his mom works for Lufthansa Airlines for 40 years and is going to try to get us a deal..hopefully that would work out in our favor if we decide to go..

I would totally do it....you might never get that chance again! Just watch your spending for a while! Make it work!

I would DEFINATELY do it! I would make sure to budget carefully and watch my spending once im there but like you said what are the chances you ever get invited to another wedding in germany!

i would only go if i could comfortably afford it. it is a great opp but if you are going to be stressed financially its not like you cant book a trip to Germany the year after your wedding. if you are financially sound, though, and you really want to go, then why not?

Thanks so much ladies!! I think we can do it, it will take a lot of budgeting but I think after the wedding when we are cashing those checks it wont hurt as bad !! LOL Our friend just contacted his mom about it and she sent us an email saying she is going to upgrade us to business class and see what she can do on the pricing of the tickets! Hopefully this works out I am so excited!!!!

DO IT, BUT GO WITH A BUDGET and try to stick with it....!

there are not that many opportunities like this out there, so i would go, but keep in mind YOUR OWN WEDDING costs! you dont want to splurge on the trip and be worried about $$ for YOUR OWN wedding....

Just keep the budget and enjoy.

Definitly go! It will never be the 'right time' and you'll never have 'enough money'. Take the opportunity!! Also, it will be such a stress relief from the chaos of your wedding, and it will be something nice to always talk about with FH.

I would totally go! You may never have this 'excuse' to go to Germany again! From someone who loves to travel, I would totally budget and make it work! You will have such an amazing time!

I would totally go... I've been doing my best to budget in outside expenses along with wedding savnigs and everything else, and personally soemthing like that is something that would mean a lot to me.

SJR is right, if you book tickets at the right time you can find a pretty good deal, but I backpacked through Germany last Chrismas and its totally possible to see the sights, have fun and NOT spend a fortune! My biggest expense was the plane tickets and everything else was golden.

Rick Steves makes the BEST guidebooks, we took the one he has for Germany and it helps you find things in diff areas that are proven to be good (including those off the beaten path places most guidebooks don't show you), but also includes prices so you can make informed decisions.

Yes, thats exactly why we're moving to Germany next summer (hopefully!). Because we know this is really the only opportunity to do it, before the babies start coming, lol
