Hey ladies!!! 218 days till wedding and I am just getting started!!

I am going to leave my deposit at my RH this weekend, my date is August 21, 2010. And that is the only thing that I have done so far for the wedding. The next thing on my list is to finalize my guest list and get the save the dates out. If I had an unlimited budget I would just get David Tutera to do his thing. But I dont have an unlimited budget.... I barely even have a budget!!! So I will be doing this on my own with the help of FH and my awesome sis, mom, and dad.
I want everything to be as perfect and well planned as possible... I am just worried that I may not have enough time.
Question: For those of you that have gotten your dress already... How long did/do you have to wait for alterations?

I started my fittings in December and and my wedding is in Feb - so 2 months - you don't want to do it to early but you want to leave enough time for them to work on it...

This may seem like a silly question...
Why do you have to wait so long for the dresses to come in? Do they make them when you order them or something? I thought the majority of the time was spent waiting for alterations.
Nope..the majority of the time is waiting for the gown to come in. I strongly recommend David's (esp the one in manhattan) because the turnaround time is so fast.

oh, only two months?
I have no idea why I thought it took longer. Well the dress is what I am going to tackle next month. I am praying that I am the sample size!! : ) I doubt it but I will still pray!
Not sure if you are interested but I got my gown at David's Bridal and it came in 6 weeks. They are really quick
my dress came in 1 week
