I recently got engaged and am beginning to plan. I am soooooo excited but I already feel a little overwhelmed but from looking at this site, it seems like there is a lot of great advice. So, my first question is if anyone knows a good, reasonably priced place to have an engagement party.

I'm not too sure about good places for the engagment party. We're having ours at the Northport Yacht Club, but we really didn't look into many places.

We are having ours at Westbury Manor - I know, it sounds a bit over the top. But we got a better deal there then we were at different restaurant's. They gave us more stuff for a heck of a lot cheaper.

Congratulations and Welcome!
I am having an engagement party at a firehouse. First we wanted it in our favorite restaurant but we would have had to really limit who we invited. Also, it would be a sit down dinner and we wanted more of a fun party. The firehouse is a great price and we will go all out with decorations and cater it from our fav restaurant. Also, we can invite many more people! Good Luck to you!!
