Oh Farah...I'm so upset...we were discussing names last night....and I realized we can't use Farah because our last name starts with a F....

I was disappointed!

brilliant, Wendy. PHARA !

and if you go this route, you can do Felicia with a PH (a la Phylicia Rashad) .. that is, if you really want to make the poor kid unhappy

Though Farah is beautiful, of course

Re: HI FARAH!!!

No, Wendy means Pharah Did you see my post on parenting in answer to your post asking about names begining with a P?

But, I have to say it's still to many F-like noises, even if you were to spell it with PH, which would look very, very silly

We were talking with a pregnant friend yesterday and she's naming her baby Paige, whether it's a boy or a girl... Not my pick for a boy name, what do you guys think????

Re: HI FARAH!!!

definitely NOT for a boy...it's the only girls P name I like and Rich liked it too

ooggggg. . .Paige for a boy! Hope she has a girl. . .

So how come you can't use Farah if you have an F last name?

How come you need a p? Do you need 'p' suggestions?

You could always jsut go with Princess

in the Jewish faith, you name after the deceased, and my grandfather passed away in 2000 and no one has used a P yet. I'd really like to honor him with our firstborn.

If I use Farah and with my last name it sounds like a Porno name

Ah, ok-- I 've heard of that, but I didn't know you or your husband were Jewish. . .

thnaks tourist.....I am but not a practicing Jew and DH is Christian....but despite the religious background to it, we think it would be a great tribute to my grandpa. Likewise, we will try to honor his deceased grandmother (the one he buried on the day he and I met.....)

That's really sweet. If I ever had a daughter I would like to give her my grandmother's name as a middle name, but I also just really like the name Elizabeth.

My husband's family is from Belgium & they have some great names on that side, I think I'd have to make them middle names though. . .like Leopold or Viktor
