Re: High Centerpieces
I got a quote from Flowers by Brian
My high CPs were very simple. Just tall pilsner glasses with curly branches, white orchids tied on, and hanging candles.
they were 125$ a piece. Which seems good for a tall CP, but then again, the only thing not being reused are the few orchids.
still looking at other florists.

Re: High Centerpieces
we're paying about $150 per centerpiece and we're doing the small white orchids (forget their name) and a few irish bells in them.
ETA: we're using eva's secret in brooklyn.

Re: High Centerpieces
I visited Flowers by Brian and they quoted me $125 for small high centerpieces and $175 for a tree type centerpiece (just branches really) with some flowers on them and votives hanging.
I cannot belive how expesnive flowers are. The flowers we are using are not even expensive flowers!

ranges from $125-200 obviously depending on what type of flowers you use
I went with pedestals and this was their price range that they had told me. Most of theirs do start at $125 but i paid more for each CP since I had calla's, orchids and branches

Did you go to Flower Michelle yet? I think i'm going to check them out next, then check out a family recommended place.
Are the 175$ the curly branches, or a more substantial piece? and what flowers would be on it?

I visted Pedestals too (my sister had used them) but I got quoted $175 a piece. I did love their ideas though. $175 just seems so high, especially since I need 24 pieces!

I had 22 cp's but when i had booked with them we originally said 25 cp's after guest list it ended up being 22 cp's. I heard they recently changed their pricing and now all cp's are the same price not sure how true this is but i heard a few girls on here say this.
I booked them in march of 07 so maybe its changed since then, i wish they were $125 when i booked lol
just fyi...Burtons doesnt charge per type of flower but for quantity...that may help....lol

No I didn't. I have an appt there soon. $175 was a tree stand they had (do not get to keep it) and he would but some orchids on it, some green and tealights.

Re: High Centerpieces
Mine are tall CPs sorta... they are in a tall glass vase with calla lillies and a mix of other ones that I can't spell for the life of me. Mine are 65 each, and I'm getting my first trial done next week. I will post pics when I have it. I have found out that if you go to a local florist you will get a better price. Mine is with Hitherbrook Nursery...and I looove her!

thats how much i was charged too. I know they said their roses and some other flowers start at $125 and then most of the others are between $150-175. This was when i booked what they said.

maybe it is bc its february. I know v-day is more expensive but for roses. When I got flowers for my e-party it was around v-day, it was after but order had to go in around that time. The other flowers were less but they told me if i wanted roses then thats what would cost more.

They did tell me it was because of my ideas. 12 of each type of centerpices and I asked for some cymbidium orchids, etc. Mixed with other stuff of course. I found Pedestals to be so creative though. They did give me a great price on personal flowers though so maybe it evens out in some way.
I wish I had cheaper taste. I wanted 12 branch in a vase type centerpeices with tea lights, some orchids, etc. and 12 more traditional flower pieces mixing shades of blue, green and white. Not a ball style but more a loose style. I loved the guy I met with though. So creative. I just wish the $$$ was a bit lower. Maybe I can try to change the flowers or something.
