I want to add a poll but am not very liweddings savvy.
Are you 'recyling' any flowers from the ceremony to the reception?

Re: High or Low Centerpieces?
I'm doing a combo of high and low b/c I love the high ones but it's a little more cost effective to do low so that's my compromise!

Re: High or Low Centerpieces?
We're doing low centerpieces for a variety of reasons. We do have two large pots of white gladiolas that are going to be at the ceremony. We're going to put them on our bridal table (or next to; depending on height) but nothing else is being moved around.

To keep the cost down we are doing a combo of high and low CP's.

Low, but is should really depend on what you like. I just don't like high CP's so I would never get them and I'm having a day wedding so I thought low CP's would go with more with a day wedding feel - more laid back. JMO

I used all high ones, there are two pictures of the centerpiece in my photo album and you can also see them in the background in many of my pictures. They really made the room, and a lot of my guests commented on how beautiful and elegant the centerpieces were.

Re: High or Low Centerpieces?
we are using low centerpieces. for one they are less costly and two FH doesn't like high centerpeices because he feels that people sitting at the table can't talk to each other because they have to look around the centerpieces so we prefer the low centerpieces. We are going to be putting votives around them. That's just our opinion though. My FSIL used high centerpieces and they were pretty too, depends on what you like.

Our high ones were sort of a spiral brass design with 3 votive candles situated along the brass spiral. The great thing about them was that each person could clearly see and speak to each other from across the table. The high ones probably are more money though.

we are doing low because we had a small budget for flowers - this was the thing I personally cared the least about.

Re: High or Low Centerpieces?
I'm doing half high and half low on the recommendation of my florist. (We are going to have 20+tables and he thought it would be overwhelming with all high.)
We're leaving the flowers at the church so they can have them for Sunday services...We are using my BoK and my BM BoKs for cake table and sweetheart table decorations..

Re: High or Low Centerpieces?
We are doing low... first of all it is less expensive to do the low ones. Secondly, the ceilings above the tables at our reception location are not that high, so high centerpieces would have made the ceiling look lower!
