High vs. Low CPs

High vs. Low CPs

I am so confused...I thought I wanted High CP's...but I went to a vendor today and we discussed low CP's and why they might be better as far as overall aesthetic and for conversation at the tables....

High CP girls...does it block convo at all or are you worried about this?

The CP pics are not my colors but an idea of the two styles

Thanks!

when I went in to see the sample of my High CP me and my MOH actually sat down and made sure there was no blocking. In my case there was not.

maybe do a mixture i am bc i love the way both look and as long as your vase is tall it wont block that much, at least i dont think so :)

i love the way high looks, i feel like it gives the room that 'wow'

i feel like the low cps never stand out enough, unless you are AT the table, i feel they go unnoticed

ive been to a lot of weddings with high and none of them have gotten in the way of convos

you could do a mix of high/low tho, that would look nice...and also would save you money!

I agree with the mix of the high and low if you are on the fence. It could create a nice look in the room but high CP's do seem to give the room a more grand affect. I guess it's all about how you get them designed, high or low.

its middle height you need to worry about. Most High CP's Are over everyone's head!

If you do middle make sure someone sits across the table from you and see if you can carry on a conversation without having to look around the piece.

Overall though I'm changing it up with high and low simply for the effect of it. The tables towards the dance floor will have low and the tables towards the walls will have high so that everyone can see the dance floor :)

Good luck!

I'm in Chateau Briand also and we're having high cp's. I don't think it'll block it. We'll test it out when we go do the samples.

I think it depends on the room. I originally wanted low centerpieces but after visiting my hall again I realized that the ceilings were so high that it would not look 'full' if I did low. But you could also mix the low centerpieces with tall pillar candles too to save some $$$. There would be no problems chatting on the table based on the sample vase that I saw either.

we did low cp's to save money, and flowers were not really important to us as was photographer and other vendors so we saved in this area. why not do a combination of half high half low?

Personally, I prefer the low centerpieces. I'm just worried that 1) it would block conversation, 2) I don't think it works with my venue room anyway, 3) someone bumping into the table and down goes the high centerpiece, and 4) no one will want to take it home.

i like low centerpieces more than high ones ... i love taking CPs home when i go to weddings but would never take a high one home (i don't think you're supposed to!) .... low is also cheaper which is an added bonus

I am doing low CP's. i wanted my guests to be able to talk and see eachother across the table. My tables are long not round

I went with lows for cost. Also I'm not a flower person.

I was talking to a kid inmy class who just got married recently, and they had large high cp's and he said the hall made mini bouquets towards the end of the night so almost everyone got to take home flowers.

I like high CP's unless it just doesn't go with the look/feel/vibe of the room. I don't think they block convo from across the table. Besides, I can never talk to anyone across the table because the musics always too loud and those tables are pretty far across. And as far as bringing the CP's home - My florist has them on top of the vase separately, so at the end of the night the staff can just hand the CP (sans super tall vase) to the person who brings it home.

exactly! ITA lolol the high cps we're going to have are way over everyone's head so they're not going to block convos at all
