Hillary Clinton

Do you think she has a shot to run for President?
And to become the first woman President?

Re: Hillary Clinton

well to answer the question about her chances. Seems like Obama is ahead for the democrats. As of now it looks like Obama will be the democratic candidate but it might be too early to tell...And people probably expected many women to vote for hillary but a few weeks ago they were saying most of the woman who came out to vote were voting for obama

ETA: i have to say i was surprised by the last part too

but who knows anything is possible

I'm just going to say that from my experience most people (not all) who 'don't like' Hilary don't even know why they don't like her, and I find that pretty stupid and uninformed. Many of you girls may know, politically, why you won't vote for her but honestly, most don't. They see her as an opinionated woman (which is apparently the worst thing you can be) who stayed with her husband after he cheated.

IMO, she has ACTUAL White House experience, she is probably better suited for the job then any candidate out there since she sat second to a man who was actually president, the fact that she's a woman comes second in my mind to the fact that SHE'S NOT A REPUBLICAN.

That alone will get her my vote.

You know what my FFIL said that made me so angry? That he'd vote for her only b/c it would mean Bill would physically be in the white house, and she'd probably ask him for advice. W T F is that? Would anyone ever say that about a man? 'Oh I'm voting for Obama b/c his wife will nearby, and she gives good political advice.' So insulting.

That is annoying and ridiculous but unfortunately a lot of Bill 'fans' might vite for her because of that/

I dunno, the politica arena is too much about 'I hate republicans' and 'I hate democrats' and not at all about passing good policy on either side. Its disgusting and it just turns me off to the whole thing. Being right is more important to everyone than DOING right.

No comment on my opinion of her... and not that I really want to start drama... but I am NOT stupid or uninformed...

I have to say that I do not want to vote for Hiliary not only because she is a democrat but for several other reasons. And I think Obama has more of a chance as of now. However, if I had to choose between them I would definitely vote for Obama. But I am republician so....But I do think he is a good candidate

And I do KNOW my reasons as to why i would NOT want Hilary Clinton in office and it is NOT just because she stayed with her husband after he cheated on her and she is a very opinionated woman. I just don't feel like getting into the reasons because I really do not want to start crap on here. NO NEED!

I agree that is why I do not spend too much time discussing politics or even watching the debates. And I agree about the comment you made before that your FIL said. I don't get that it is insulting.

I totally agree that the two-party system is destroying our country. Any candidate that's not a republican or democrat however often doesn't get equal footing to stand on and they are mostly considered a waste of time sooooo with that said, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Personally I'm pretty disgusted with the entire system.

And to the girls who felt it nessecary to obviously comment about my comment regarding MOST people being ignorant to Hilary's political agenda, you obviously need to RE-READ my comment because I said MOST people no ALL....if you know why you don't like her and it's a political reason, more power to you, I was just trying to make a point and say something about my experience with the haters.

Have a great day!

Didnt good ol' George Washington warn us about political parties!?! He was a good man! Well, except for the late stage syphilis and the wooden teeth...

I agree with you... I still dont know who I am going to vote for YET, but that is a very good stance to have- and she did have the whole experience in the white house.. Obama just scares the crap out of me... he is someone who doesnt want to hold his hand over his heart during the pledge of allegience, wants to get rid of it all in fact.. AND his grandfather was a radical muslim... NOT really someone I want leading out country in a 1)recession and 2) a war

That picture was taking during the National Anthem, not the Pledge.

I have never heard that he wants to get rid of it - if that is true - the media would be ALL over that.

National Anthem= Pledge to me... its a significant part of our country and for someone who is running to lead our country who doesnt want to do that is just not 100% going to get my vote... that being said the pledge has already been taken out of some schools etc. (not that it has anything to do with obama) but it is already starting to fade out, and I want someone who is going to be 10000% USA proud to be an american leading our country.... and I personally do not think that is him!

i dont know enough about her to say if i would vote for her or not.......but i wouldnt let her personal life influence my voting decision.......i think i dislike republicans - and i dont like george bush i disagree with a lot of what republicans stand for - especially the whole pro-life thing - i feel like that is taking womens rights away and i am pro choice all the way - just something about republicans and some of their views rub me the wrong way....but i dont know if all republicans are like that and i dont know much about democrats either....i guess i dont know much of anything

I'm not voting for Obama.

I'm just saying that it's not 'required' for you to put your hand over your heart for the Anthem.

It just irritates me that things like that get circulated and people end up believing every thing they see and read.

Don't help spread the falsehood.

At least you are honest Nicole lol I wouldnt let her personal life influence my decision to vote either but i have other reasons haha. I am actually registered republican. however i do not think i am like the ones you dislike i mean giving the example of the whole pro-life, pro-choice. i feel it is not fair for one person to say ok no woman can do what they want with their body. but then again i see hey well prostitution is illegal and that is a woman doing what she wants with her body and being told NOT to do it. but in that case it is right i feel. but in the abortion case i dont know. i have mixed reviews. and i am not 100% sure what i believe in in that issue.

but to go on about george bush- i think he has done a pretty damn good job right now for all that happened in his time of service. such as 9/11, war, hurricane katrina, the tsunami etc. NOT saying he couldnt done better or someone esle couldnt have. but i think many people discredit him for what he went through during his years as president. i have mixed reviews about him as well but i agree with some of his decisions. so i like the think that i am not a full blown conservative haha
