Book the honeymoon. I totally agree.. that if you dont go after you get married you wont end up going. You shouldnt be cheated out of a honeymoon!!
Greece can always wait and be a great vaca for another time.
I say do it. Book it and he will be thanking you when hes all relaxed on the beach with a pina colada with sand in his feet. hahaha

Mexico is comparitively inexpensive, and they have lots of beautiful resorts. Look into the EPM, it's absolutely gorgeous, and we got an amazing 7 night, all inclusive, with that 2 story rooftop room including airfare and airport transportation for $4065. If you get a standard room that will drop much lower .

whisper all the things you would love to do to him on the beach, in the pool, the parasailing (insert fun/corny excursion here) ect. Tell him that it's really important to you and for the beginning of your new life together. That you hope he will make his future wife happy and that he can think about it and you will revisit this next month.
You have some time. You will get your honeymoon I completely understand the machismo mentality- remember the man IS the head of the house but the woman is the neck and she decides which way the head turns

oh i responded to this in the dear ____ too but you totally NEED DESERVE YOU GET a honeymoon. . another thing you could do is present three options and let him pick which one he wants. .. like cruise, beach spot 1, beach spot 2. . sorry you are having a hard time. . he should totally pay more mind to what your needs are!!!!!

Perhaps if you present it in a way that is appealing to him. Like find a place that has activities that he likes to do and emphasize that. Vacation alone has to appeal to him, especially after planning a wedding. Hope it works out for you!

hehe, I was going to say, tell him the honeymoon is for consummating the marriage and if he wants to put off the honeymoon a few more months... that's his own perogative...
ok, that was really bad and I was totally kidding. But seriously, I know you guys are 'anticipating' the wedding, so what guy WOULDN'T want a week of a lush hotel room, beach, and minimal clothing?? My FH is looking forward to our honeymoon more than the wedding, just for that... hhe says he has 'full rights' that week lol! Remind him of this valid point!!

Another suggestion, have you considered staying north, like Lake George or the Poconos or somewhere in the Hudson Valley/Catskills? Or even a short cruise or something out of the city?
I know its Dec, and its cold, and it's not the beach you want, but this would save a lot of money and at least you'd have some form of a honeymoon.
I definitely say keep trying for the tropical honeymoon, but if he is really dead set against it, this might be some sort of compromise.... good luck!

Aruba is beautiful! And then just plan your Greece trip as an Anniversary trip.
There's plenty to do in Aruba besides just sitting on a beach - take a catamaran trip, go snorkeling, go on ATVs, kayaking, etc etc etc. You will not be bored. Plan on doing something about every other day (and the off days can be beach days). There is also shopping and stuff like that.

hey! i think aruba is an excellent idea and i also agree that waiting and waiting may never come, life just comes up!
but I also agree with your Fh about greece! that would be a great trip, plan it for your 1,2,or 5 year anniv! you need a vacation now!
Aruba is safe, relaxing and fun all on one little island and the people there are fabulous!
you can entice(sp?) your Fh with booked adventures, in aruba we did RV tour, Pirate ship party boat, private sailboat day trip charter (OMG amazing) snorkling, biking... i can go onn and onn, you absolutly do not have to 'just sit on the beach' although- personally i would rather
ohh and you HAVE to do the kukoo kunuku bus! its an (obnoxious) party bus that bar hops all night. soo fun!
Curacau and bonair are also right next door! what about making some trips there too.. Bonair is famous for scuba and snorkling and i just recently went to Curacau but didnt spend much time... it was georgous!!
