Would you be willing to lose a day from your HM in order to recoup from your wedding?? We were supposed to leave the day after our wedding, and now I am thinking that I might want the day after to rest and spend time with family and OOT. I just talked to FH about it and he agrees with me. The only thing is, the timeshare we are using only reserves week to week so you would have to check in sat-sat or sun-sun so we would basically lose a day and check in on monday.

Yep, I would lose a day besides when you get there you will be to tired to do anything.

thats what i am thinking. ive been stressing about this sooooo much lately, just thinking about all the things we have to prepare for the wedding and then thinking about leaving the next day (at 11 am no less) is making me nuts! the minute i brought it up to FH and he was like 'sure that sounds good' i felt 100 times better about it!

I would lose the day. I would really want to see my family who came a long way to be at my wedding. It's like an extension of the wedding day.

thats what im thinking. we have ALOT of OOT and i would rather spend the day with them because i am sure the week before will be crazy!

We aren't leaving for our HM right away. The reception ends at 1am and we'll definitely be tired - plus we want to hang out with family and friends for a day before we go. It seems like the best plan for us.

You need time to wind down and relax before taking off on your honeymoon, we will be going 2 or 3 days after the wedding.

i hate to lose a day on my HM though, but maybe the timeshare place will let us check in monday and out the following monday.. i doubt it though. if anything, we will just go mon-sun.

We're leaving the next evening. We'll spend breakfast/brunch with people...go back to our apartment to drop off stuff, then head to the airport. We'll have plenty of time to unwind and relax on our long flight to Italy. Not to mention we'll have spent 2 days in a row with our family and OOT guests...and these people are our family and close friends, so it's not like we aren't going to see them in the near future anyhow.

Our timeshare week also starts the day after the wedding. Can you check in after the check in time and lose a day? Maybe we will do that because I was starting to get worried. Or maybe just get there late at night because you can't check in until 4pm anyway.

i would do that too but the only direct flight is at 11 a.m. and i dont want to deal with connecting flights, etc. I never seen my family and OOT guests so I feel that spending the day after with them would be a good idea

i am pretty sure we can check in the day after, but, like i said before, we would lose that day. its starting to not be a big deal to me anymore with losing the day. i am going to call the place tomorrow and see what the deal is

I would lose the day, FH and I changed ours from leaving sunday to leaving monday. Our wedding is saturday am and we are getting hotel rooms and goign to the bar afterwards, no way I want to leave sunday morning, plus we had 2 friends that got married and left the same day or next day and were miserable

so i just called the timeshare company. its ok if we check in one day late BUT. .. we still have to check out that following Sunday... so we will lose a day because they cant extend it to the following Monday. Oh well.. u cant have everything!
