Is anyone waiting awhile before they take their HM? I wanted to leave right after the wedding but unfortunately FH will be in school so he can't take off so we have to wait till Jan.
im going right away but by the time wedding is past youll get into the holidays and b4 you knw it it'll be HM time!!
Our wedding is January 16th and we aren't leaving for our honeymoon until March 27th. I start school 5 days later and instead of missing my first week of classes, we're just going to go during my spring break. We both really don't mind at all.
We're going on a quick napa trip the tuesday after we are married for a few nights. Our real HM will be in March (5 mo later) when we go to Dubai and the Maldives. Due to work vacation schedules I wouldn't have enough days to take off before the wedding if we left for the big trip immediately after.

we are leaving right away on our honeymoon. but our friends just recently got married and bc shes a teacher they can't go away on their real HM til November. The night of their wedding they went to stay for the weekend at a beach house so they could at least get away for a little after the wedding.
we're planning to go a day or two after the wedding. after all the craziness of the wedding we will both need a nice week away from everything.
Im leaving the monday after the wedding, but my sister waited a whole year to go on her HM... they went for their anniversary actually!
