i'm about to book our flights when this hit me - what name should i use? we plan on leaving a few days after our wedding and i know it takes time for the legalities of the name change kicks in. all my passport, ID would still have my maiden name by that time and since we're going out of the country, i don't want to have problems just because of the name!
for those who went on HM right after their wedding, what surname did you use? your maiden's or married last name???

Maiden. All your IDs will have your maiden name.

MAIDEN!! You will not be able to get a passport or documents with your married name immediately after the wedding. It takes a while

DEFINITELY MAIDEN NAME! YOUR DOCS WILL ALL SAY YOUR MAIDEN NAME!
