Holiday Shoppping Strategies please

Okay SO I want to get ALL of my holiday shopping done BEFORE december so I can focus on my wedding.

I do all of my shopping online and I try to get everything from as few stores as possible to save on shipping (amazon.com is the best for this).

BUT every year I get very overwhelmed and sometimes I will end up with two presents for one person or I will forget someone else.

I keep a list but its hard to keep track of still.

Anyone have any great strategies for some stress free holiday shopping?

Thanks girls!

i woudl say jsut pay more attention to ur list and make sure not to double on the presents...

mark the list when u order it.. then mark it again when u receive the gift...

hope this helps at all

i make a list of everyone i have to get for
then as i think of ideas or see something in a catalog or online, i write it next to their name and where i saw it

excel spreadsheet!!

Because of wedding planning its become my best friend.

Put everyone's names on it, and check it off as you go along. It will keep ya organized. You can make a bunch of columns - Name, gift description, do you have receipt?, did you send it already?, etc.

good luck!!

I never did a lot of online Christmas shopping, but I plan to this year. FH and wil probably give giftcards for some people. His niece loves music, so she'll get one for FYE, his nephew one for Modells and our parents for a restaurant so our Mom's don't have to cook

I have a list of everyone I'm shopping for. I have this list in several places and I cross off each person as I finish them and I try and write the gift down.

Something my mom is doing this year is kind of like a theme... she's trying to stick to books. Getting people books she thinks they would like. She's loving it!

ahh i dont even want to think about teh holidays!!! Sean wants to go christmas shopping BEFORE the wedding - i think he is losing it lol
hmm maybe you can just make a more organized list - once you have purchased a present for that person highlight their name and every so often make a newer, shorter list with just the names of people and presents you need to buy - it sounds so complicated but its really not

i have the same dilema. i start out with everything in order then i end up with two things for one person.. or i remember someone else after.

its hard. but i think this year i am going to try excel. since i do my shopping online it wont be hard to remember to consult the list.
