holy LIPA bill!!!!!

We've been paying approximately 70 every two months since we moved in in Sept. this month it's 140!!!!!!

No we don't have a tenent...only one TV...a very large 57 inch could that be it? it's new.., new refridge and a not so old extra one, new dish washer, one computer and a gas stove....
What the heck gives????

Just curious...
How much is everyone's bill...

We pay the same as Mel in our apartment. I am going to reasearch the 'budget' plans offered by LIPA. The owner of the house we're buying only pays $155 a month on a budget, so that doesn't seem that bad.

The budget plan didn't work so well for my SIL...she paid a low amount every month and then got a whopping bill at the end of the year!! The actually average what they think you'll use and make that your monthly payment...but if you use more than they thought, then you owe that amount in 1 lump sum at the end of the year...
