ok I really wanted to do a pick up style BM dress....when my MIL said this to me

SOOOOO yes they are a fad, yes in 10 years you will say 'what was I thinking' but is that something you can deal with? If so then go for it, I like the dress not the color

They are pretty but not something that takes my breathe away.
It might also look good in the picture-but on the girls it might look weird. That is what happened to me with my girls and dresses I liked.

I think the color is pretty and the style could be pretty, but I am not crazy about the combination. If you like that color, I would go with a cleaner line....and maybe a different accent.

i havent chosen my dress yet but im not basing my bridesmaids dresses on mine...i dont think they have to match or not match, i'm kinda going more with what i actually like then making sure they match

is that watters? i just wore a very similar dress to my MOH's wedding, it had buttons all down the back as well

I personally am not a fan of pick-ups. I think the pick-ups, the sash, and the peek-a-boo skirt is all too busy. JMO.

I agree with the other girls. I'm not a fan of pick-up skirts and it does seem a little too busy. JMO...but it's your day. If you love it that's what matters.

Clearly, either you like pick-ups or you don't. If you like them, and they look good on the BM's (some women are just too short to wear them), then go with it.
