Honeymoon!!

Original post by MayBride08

So while we are discussing what we have done/want to do so far... I was just wondering if anyone has put any thought into their honeymoon yet?
I know its too early to book because of airlines and hotels havent released their rates and availability yet, but FH and I have been thinking about where to go, we change our mind every day!!

Re: Honeymoon!!

FH is surprizing me but I'm hinting towards:

- Mederterian Cruise (italy, greece, spain, france)

- Europian Cruise ( Coppehagen, Estonia, & several other places I can't spell)

- He's brought up Tahiti, but I'd rather wait for a trip like that. With the long plane ride that's somthing I'd rather spend more than 2 weeks in.

- a west cost trip, starting in the vinyards of Napa & Sononma, taking an Alaskin Cruise & spending a few days in this amazing French Canadian Spa...

I won;t know til I'm Married

We are most likely going with Sandals too, but we were looking into Ocho Rios in Jamaica. You can get a suite with your own pool for under $4000! That would be for 7 nights. And it's all inclusive, how could you go wrong?

I was in ocho rios this summer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! its gorgeous!! Its the prettiest carribean island ive been to yet!!

We're toying with Tahiti / Fiji and Disney right now!

Is it true that Oct is the rainy season for the caribbean ?? FH insists it is and hence why he doesnt' want to consider St. Lucia which was my #1!!!

love warm temperatures and sunny skies. The seasons differ far less drastically than they do in North America, making St. Lucia weather pleasant nearly year-round. Temperatures here range between 70 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit, with the latter number attributed St. Lucia weather in the summertime, and the former being a comfortable wintertime average. Blue skies and a strong tropical sun are constant features of St. Lucia weather, but visitors will rarely feel stifled; St. Lucia weather is tempered by mild trade winds blowing off the water. Higher altitudes can also offer respite from the hottest St. Lucia weather, but most people find that a nice shady spot on the beach is all they need to keep cool.

The island experiences the majority of its rainfall in the summertime, when St. Lucia weather is at its hottest and most humid. Showers rarely last for long, coming in short, sporadic bursts.

looks like he was wrong!! my travel agent told me the same thing. . .

Re: Honeymoon!!

We've decided we're going to go for two weeks to Ireland!!!

It's gonna be chilly but we both really want to go and we decided we're going to do a small 2nd honeymoon vacation in the summer of '08 to make up for the fact that the average temp during our honeymoon will be 50 degrees!
