We plan on going to Italy. We're very excited to tour Rome and see all the art and history.

Honeymoon

We will probably end up in Hawaii. I would've liked to go to Tahiti, but FH really wants to go to Hawaii and he's given me everything I want for the wedding, the least I could do was let him choose the destination for the honeymoon. And it's not like I'm sacrificing that much. Lol

Honeymoon

We are going to Disney World. We chose it because I cant fly over 3 hours and we didnt want to go super far from our daughter. I love Disney and he never has been so we thought it was a good fun choice and it gives us the option of just hanging by the pool or going and doing stuff.

Honeymoon

There are a lot of factors to consider... traveling preferences (do you like cruises or resorts better? Do you mind long flights?), budget, activity preferences (are you the type that wants total relaxation or do you want adventure? or a mix? Do you want to sightsee and learn new things about history?), etc.

I am very thankful that i was blessed with parents who made traveling and experiencing new cultures a regular thing for me. I've been to so many places in the world that now it's getting difficult for me to choose my vacations because i'm so picky! If anyone is interested, I have a lot of destination insight from countries all over the world (i've been to all of the places everyone has mentioned here and can give you my positives and negatives and activity suggestions. Just FM me!

So for us it was really difficult because i wanted somewhere i haven't been before and that wouldn't cost us all the money we make from our wedding (we hope to start trying for a baby soon after we get married and we need to save up for that!) Our biggest wants were: a not too long flight, a good variety of activities and sites to see, something all-incusive to keep costs down, and in general just something memorable.

We ultimately chose to go to Disney World for 3 nights so we can check out Universal Studios and Harry Potter world, and then we're taking a short drive to Ft. Lauderdale where we'll leave on a 10-night cruise to the Panama Canal. It stops at Aruba, Costa Rica, Columbia, Panama, and Jamaica. There is a great mix of beachy relaxation, adventure, and culture. We enjoy cruises a lot because they let you experience multiple countries/islands at once.

If i were you i'd just do some general browsing of pamphlets and online sites, determine how much you really want to spend (include ALL costs - food, travel, excursions, drinks, etc.) and how long you can afford to take off from work (if that's an issue) and then narrow it down from there. Once you have a few ideas, research them more or check out some travel agents, they can usually get you the best prices and extras.

Some suggestions for romantic vacations: Hawaii, Italy, Greece, St. Lucia, Jamaica, Mexico.

If i can help anyone at all, please let me know :)

Re: Honeymoon

We decided on Fiji. It is a little more intimate than bora bora (and cheaper) and I've been to Mexico, Hawaii, and most of the Carribean. I am more excited about the honeymoon than anything else!
