Honeymoon advice.... WITH POLL

Okay- would you rather:

1. Take a 3 island tour of Hawaii- 11 days, 10 nights (oahu, maui, kauai) with all breakfast, and most dinners, as well as all excursions included - $7200 (direct flight)

2. Spend 4 nights in Barbados at the Hilton Barbados, and then take a 7 night carribean cruise (princess 4 1/2 * ship), in a suite - $5613 (direct flight)

3. Spend 10 night in St. Lucia at the Sandals Regency (no direct flights) honeymoon Grande Luxe Beachfront Room - $8214

For the money ... i would go with option 2 because a cruise is an vacation within itself and beyond belief!

Where did you find these packages? I wanted something like number two myself and havent been able to find anything.

How long is #1? I think that is what I would choose. You might not ever get a chance to got o Hawaii again, since it's so far, and if it's in your budget I say go for it. You can always go to the Caribbean.

I just looked everything up on my own.
The airfare was through air jamacia.
The hotel was through hilton directly (King delx with balcony)
And the Cruise (Princess Cruise Line - Sea Princess) leaves Barbados and arrives in Ft Lauderdale.

I would do 1 or 2....1 was what we really wanted but we couldn't afford it so we ended up doing something more like 2 (cruise + sandals)....I definitely wouldn't do 3, I think 10 nights is too long to be at Sandals, and it won't be nearly as much fun as the other 2!

So, if you can afford it, I would do 1!

i would do 1 if it's in the budget. can't go wrong with hawaii and having most meals included will help a bit with that part of the cost. i agree with snick on option 3 - you might get bored unless you like laying out every day - to some that is the ultimate relaxation!!

#1 -- just because all excursions are included is something i like--those things can get expensive.

i don't like cruises---so i'm not a fan of that.

but Sandals are great--so I woud also love the all inclusive aspect. but out of your choices i'm loving the hawaii idea most

I totally agree... I've been to the Caribbean several times and only went once to Hawaii on my honeymoon. It's BEAUTIFUL there.. The islands are sooo nice and it's relaxing. I'm not a huge fan of cruises b/c you don't get the experience of the food and island life. You're only allowed out for the day then back to the ship. There's hardly ever a good spot to lay out by the pool and even though there's a ton of food I get disgusted how people just eat and eat on the cruise b/c of all the food.

I'm partial to St. Lucia (since I'm going there on my honeymoon). I think your decision needs to be based on what you want to do on your honeymoon. If you want to keep busy and entertained all day, take the cruise. If you want rest and relaxation go to Sandals. FH and I thought about Hawaii but we wanted to go somewhere else for our honeymoon (everyone goes to Hawaii besides we are going with friends next year.) In the long run you get more for the money at Sandals.

I think #2 would be awesome. Its lets you relax on an island but then you can get out and about one the cruise. And for the price, it's a great deal. My SIL went to Barbados and said it was beautiful.

I would go with option #1... That trip seems like a once in a lifetime trip and I think its 100% worth it!... My Uncle did something like that for his HM and it was over 12k!

1 or 3
1 will be a little stressfull maybe because you will have to pack and unpack and move 3 times.... plus the flight is so long...

I think for the price the Barbados/Cruise is GREAT!!! I hear Barbados is really nice! The only thing I don't like about cruise ships is how crowded the pools get and how quickly the lounge chairs fill up.

If $ is less of an issue, then I'd go for Hawaii.
It's so much further away than the Caribbean and since you have the Vacay time for your honeymoon, I'd use that to my advantage.

They all sound great but personally I'd opt for #3 - my idea of a honeymoon (or any vacation for that matter) is laying on a beach and doing nothing but relaxing! Is option #3 all-inclusive?

I am afraid of cruises, so I chose #1. Plus #1 is very similar to our HM. and I can't wait!
