honeymoon destination question.....

I was wondering what everyones opinions were on the sandals resort in St. Lucia and honeymooning in Hawaii, any insights will be greatly appreciated...thanks!!!!

Not from personal experience, but my travel agent said Hawii honeymoons are not all they're cracked up to be. I was actually looking at St. Lucia myself and you can't go wrong with Sandals.

I voted for Hawaii as a destination (don't know too much about the sandals in St. Lucia)...to me, it is a much longer flight and I dont know when I would be able to take as much time off as I am for my wedding...

I feel like I would have a better chance of going to St. Lucia before Hawaii on a future trip....

I used to work for Sandals. And St. Lucia is one of my all-time FAVORITE ISLANDS!!!! They do such a great job. St. Lucia is really Hawaii but closer. THey have water falls, helicopter tours, volcanos and FANTASTIC SCUBA!!!!

I have been to Maui, Oahu and St. Lucia. We chose St. Lucia for our HM, and we just booked a return trip to St. Lucia for our next anniversary.

St. Lucia had a very hawaiian feel to it. The flight is much better and I just loved Sandals. Hope this helps you out.

I definetly voted for Hawaii!!!! I went there for my honeymoon. I have been to Sandals before and they are beautiful.

I recommend Hawaii to alot of my honeymoon clients!!! There is so much to do there, it is beautiful, and for me, it was one of the best trips I have been on (and I have been on alot of trips ) It is not for everyone but I do recommend it, DEFINETLY!!

We are going to St. Lucia, but I didn't vote. Here's why...

We decided against Hawaii because we didn't want such a long flight, and we wanted an all inclusive which was easier to find in the Caribbean.

We did not choose Sandals for a few reasons - but not because there's anything wrong with the Sandals locations there.

The reasons we didn't choose Sandals are first and foremost as a protest because they do not allow same sex couples. We are not a same sex couple but I feel that this is an unjust policy and will not bring my business to an establishment that discriminates like this. This is completely just my opinion, there's nothing wrong if you feel differently. Second reason is much simpler. We didn't want to be 1 of 200 honeymooning couples at a resort and third, we wanted lush, tropical secluded and quiet. Limited night life and a ton of privacy so...

We're going to the Jalousie Hilton on St, Lucia and have an AI package, ocean view villa with private plunge pool, for a price that I think is comparable to the mid to high end of Sandals. There are several other AI resorts besides Sandals on St. Lucia.

I hope you have a fantastic time where ever you go!
