Honeymoon Help Hawaii

I have been trying to figure out where to stay and I am drivign myself crazy. Please give me any ideas for condos, and hotels that are not ridiculously priced but are great for a honeymoon. Any feedback on the Kaanapali Beach Club or Royal Lahaina. Thanks so much!

about 3000 or less pp

So less than $6000 total? How many days total do you want to stay?

You can get flights for about $700/pp. That's $1400 of your budget. Leaves you with $4600. If you want to stay for 14 nights, that leaves you with a budget of $329 per hotel night. If you stay at some condos, some fancy hotels, this should average out to about that much. Condos you can get from anywhere from $175/night to $300 per night. A fancy hotel will be about $500 night. So it will balance out.

To spend less money, spend most of your time in condos. Or go for less nights. Remember that food is not included with ANY condos. Some hotels, like the Hyatt, will sometimes include breakfast, not always though. If your budget is $6000 or less INCLUDING MEALS AND ACTIVITIES, then you'll probably have to stay only at condos to stay within budget.

You can always contact my TA and see what he can work for you. He got us a great deal for French Polynesia (we never thought we'd be able to afford it! but he made it work for us). Email him at [email protected] and tell him Yesenia recommended him.

I stayed at the Sheraton In Maui, that was a tad cheaper hotel and was just as nice.

Talk to a TA who will help in those areas of what hotels to stay in and maybe cutting your time there.
I was there for a whole wk and then to Waikiki.
Our cost was a little under $6k.

We only booked our hotels and interisland flights through the TA because we booked our flights through our credit card points.

We're staying for 6 nights in the Wailea Marriot beach resort and spa, which was just rennovated and supossedly amazing. Then we're staying in a Sheraton in Kaui. All that cost about $3,00 which included taxes, the inter flights, and cancelation/change insurance.

I highly recommend my TA she's actually in Hawaii, and has gotten me the best deals.....here's her info:

We also considered the Kaanapali Beach Club…..but after finding out that it's a little further down from the nicest parts of the beach, I decided to base our choice on location first (since nothing is all inclusive there anyway, we wanted to be close to food, drinks, & entertainment)…..so for the part of the beach we wanted- it was either Kaanapali Beach Hotel, The Hyatt, The Sheraton or The Westin. We chose the Kaanapali Beach Hotel…..I read up on this hotel like crazy, there are some raving reviews, and then some that are not so great, mainly b/c those are from people that stayed in their older wings (which are the Molokai & Kauai wings- which house the garden view rooms….the nicer wings are Maui & Lanai). Then I found out my cousin stayed at this exact hotel a few years ago and she LOVED it!! They have free entertainment everyday and free breakfast, so hopefully that will keep the cost down.

I priced sooooo many hotels in Maui….please send me an FM if you have questions!! We're paying about $4300 (with insurance), here's what it includes:

2 nights in Oahu at the Sheraton Moana Surfrider (comes w/ free orientation breakfast)
5 nights in Maui at the Kaanapali Beach Hotel (comes w/ car & free breakfast everyday)

I hope this helps you……I was overwhelmed by all the hotel choices!!! Good luck!!!

Re: Honeymoon Help Hawaii

I just thought of another good option that's not as pricey as some of the other hotels…..The Whaler on Kaanapali Beach- it's all condo units, so there's no bar or restaurants onsite, but all the units have full kitchens, so you could always go shopping and make food if you wanted to save some money…..but I believe its right near Whaler Village, so that's supposed to have a lot of food options too.
