honeymoon in curacao?

We are considering going to Curacao for our honeymoon.

Has anyone ever been? or have any information about the island that would be helpful... I have been reading lots of reviews and the only thing 'bad' is that it isnt touristy and is expensive.

any advice?

i was there but just for a day on a cruise...there was a port there...its actually a really pretty town with gorgeous colored buildings...dont know if you could make a whole trip out of it though...and as for the danger...every place has a dangerous area...all those islands..thats why you stay by your hotel..lol

That's true for a lot of islands but I would get bored staying at a hotel the whole time. For me it's important to pick an island that's safe so that you can tour and check out a bunch of places. I think it really depends on what your looking to do.

Hawaii, if you need any info on Hawaii let me know. St. Lucia, Antigua, Turks and Caicos and Aruba are supposed to be safe islands. Rivera Maya and Cabo are safe as well. Tahiti and Costa Rica too.

Hawaii is our other option.

I want to stay away from hurricanes in August, dont even want to chance it.

Costa Rica was a contender until i read about august being their rainy season. ugh i hate weather!

i am going to ireland so I cant be much help but i have visited many islands mostly while on cruises. st lucua and st martin are gorgeous....and i dont htink you can loose with hawaii...its amazing but if i am gonna be on a plane for that long..i am going to Europe...jmo
