We had just moved to NY and DH didn't start work until August 1, so we decided to go somewhere where we could use the time...that we could always go to the Caribbean for a week from NY but Europe is a bit far for that
Plus DH had never been and I had lived there, so we had a lot of fun

We paid everything on our own so our budget was limited, so we went to Cancun at an amazing resort. We loved it and we didnt spend an arm and a leg. The resort was Live Aqua,.
We also wanted a place either of us had been to.

We wanted a beach honeymoon that wasn't too far to fly and that was romantic and relaxing...Turks and Caicos was all of this
Staying at The Veranda, it's an all-inclusive and it got AMAZING reviews on trip advisor

we took a month off for our HM. We stayed in Rome for a few days before our cruise left and saw everything it had to offer. Then we did a 20 day cruise throughout Europe/Africa/Asia and then we stayed on in Rome afterwards for about another week and traveled trhoughout Italy.
It was seriously the trip of a lifetime and I was just telling DH that if i closed my eyes, I could still feel being at the last restaurant we ate in before we had to come back home, walking on the cobble streets and how everything looked. I've been so nostalgic lately...

We're going to the Riu Palace in Aruba.
We picked Aruba because it's under the hurricane belt and it's prime hurricane season right now.
We picked the Riu because we wanted all inclusive

Cancun has the best rated beaches of Mexico, so I'm sure you guys will love it too.

Thanks ladies! We are still trying to decide :( FH really wanted to go on a cruise but we've been on two already! I think I will look into cancun and turks and caicos.
Before we got engaged we always planned on getting married in turks and caicos!

Look into Live Aqua is a fairly new resort. It has 8 pools amazing beach views, and the food is amazing.

We're staying at the Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba for a week. We were originally planning on going to Italy (Tuscany/Venice/Florece) for 12-15 days, but then we found a house that we are interested in buying so we decided to scale back on the honeymoon a bit. (we are paying for the whole wedding ourselves, also)

we're going on 2 honeymoons!! we're doing a mini-moon in Napa so we can chill and relax and drink wine and sleep and eat right after the wedding. then since we had to take a 2 month break until our REAL honeymoon, we wanted ADVENTURE, so we're going to Costa Rica for new years. a bit of adventure (hiking, surfing) and then relaxation.
