Honeymoon Registry? Anyone doing this or is This Tacky?

Just would like to get everyone's feedback on the Honeymoon Registry's that I've heard of. Rather than registering for home appliances and things like that, your guests can contribute money to your honeymoon. Is this kinda tacky?

I think I might do it, I guess there are too many different frame of minds with all of the guests, you can't please everyone. But another thing too is that my FI and I rent a small one bedroom, where would I store all of this NEW home stuff that I wouldn't want to start using in my current apartment. I would want to have for a new home which we don't have yet!!
