Honeymoon: Riviera Maya

So FH and i have been going back and forth about the honeymoon arguing and getting frustrated (as i vented last night). We have finally found a place we both agree upon and is in our price range for a full week at the El Dorado Royale Resort and Spa in Riviera Maya. Ladies, i feel like it is too good to be true for the price we got!!! Do any of you have any experience there? or have gone there or heard of it that can tell me positives or negatives to the resort? TIA ladies!!!!

We are considering Riviera Maya too, I didn't check out that one but did you check out tripadvisor.com? It's been pretty helpful

right now the prices dropped a lot since we started looking in that area a few months back. we wanted to book this weekend because we can save a lot of $$. Maybe thats why it seems less then u would think. why dont u call a travel agent and ask about that place? they usually are willing to speak with you over the phone.

congrats on choosing a HM destination! Fh and I are still going back and forth and can't decide.

I've heard El Dorado is great! look at tripadvisor reviews and pictures to get a more realistic idea of the resort.

i'm going to riviera maya but to the royal hideaway...

i think my sister stayed at el dorado royale and she LOVED IT!

Im not sure about that hotel but me and FH too a day trip to that area when we went to cancun and it was BEAUTIFULLL!!!! im sure youll both love it!

I also booked the Riviera Maya for my Honeymoon but I am staying at the Iberostar Grand Hotel.

Well how you booked them, just online air and hotel, or did you call a TA? I'm not sure what the best route is and fh wants to take care of this, and I'm not good at releasing control so I wanted to steer him in the right direction.

we booked through a travel agent. I have been booking with the same travel agent for years. She gives us the best price up until we leave...if there is a sale on our booking she will reimburse us our money. I fell better that I booked through a TA then the internet especially since it's our honeymoon.
