so today at school we were on the topic of vacations and Sandals St. Lucia came up in the convo and i just kept my mouth shut but they were talking about how bad it is... and the water is dirty brown like the water here and its not the nicest island to go to and anyone that goes there is wasting their money.. i was so upset and just stated i really hope that its not true cuz i just booked my honeymoon there and they all just kinda looked and said nothing so i felt like crap... someone help me feel better. i just couldnt believe what i was hearing because ive been hearing nothing but GREAT things about st.lucia. sorry im rambling just couldnt beleive my ears.. someone help me!!! ive never been there so i dont know what im getting myself into but i really hopes its GREAT!

look at trip advisor and the Honeymoon board
are there bad reviews? of course
but there are also great reviews! no matter where you pick - someone is going to hate it so you kind of have to do your research then just sit back, relax and wait for it to come! LOL
ps - i am going there so it HAS to be fabulous!

thanks girls.. i normally dont let things bother me cuz i can just go and check it out for myself ya know.. but this is not something i can just go and 'check out' and i was really worried about booking it to begin with cuz we kinda just decied in 1 day where we were going so i was worried. but thanks!!! ill have to check out that website!

This is from a review on the HM board... the water looks nice to me. I've also been told that St. Lucia is the most beautiful of the islands.... I've never been there but I personally, I wouldn't worry!

have any of them actually gone to st. lucia or they just heard it from someone else? MANY girls on LIW have been to St. Lucia and had great things to say, i would stick with personal experiences over a friend of a friend told them

I have been to St. Lucia and it's gorgeous. FH said it reminded him a lot of Hawaii. Very lush and tropical!

One of my friends went there last year for his honeymoon. Him and his wife had a great time! They absolutely loved it.
I think no matter what there will be someone who doesn't like something about a place.
Hey, if the water is dirty it gives you a reason to not leave your room!!

gurl... why r u letting them stress you out?? they prob stayed in the dirty water part of town!! and besides u'r honeymoon isn't centered around water!! it's centered aroudn u and hubby spending time together!! ignore it!!

my girlfriend went there on her honeymoon and she had a fabulous time!! i saw her pictures, and the water was crystal clear! dont worry about it

I haven't been to a Sandals there, but I have heard that they are Great. We were there last year, and it was beautiful. The water was crystal clear. The worst part was the hour long drive to and from the airport. Other than that I can't find a bad thing to say. Relax ,it will be GREAT!!!

We just booked our honeymoon there too... I know few couples that went there for there honeymoons and they have nothing just GREAT things to say about it. Your Honeymoon will be the most amazing vacation ever!

btw - i agree that some people will have bad experiences, so some places will get bad reviews, no matter what - but brown water? no way!!
