honeymoon thoughts

what are your thoughts on having the honeymoon a few weeks after the wedding?

We are trying to save money by having it in May rather than June, but being a (SC) teacher, I would have to fly up for a weekend and back on a sun night. Since school doesn't end until early June, we couldn't go on our honeymoon right away.

I had always pictured it like in the movies... but then again, I think it might be nice to extend the experience! what do you think??

A lot of brides do this, some even wait more than one month.

I don't see anything wrong with going on your honeymoon a few weeks after the wedding. My cousin did this and felt it was better than running out right after the wedding. Her and her current had time to settle in, get their things to together, relax from the wedding and then finally enjoy a memorable experience once again..weeks later. She said it was the best feeling.

a lot of people delay it.. if it works out best for you, by all means go for it!

I am getting married the sat before thanksgiving and going on our hm xmas break...I am a teacher as well. I was unsure about it at first also but you cant win them alll!!
