Honeymoons
I'm so upset. I thought that when you go through a travel agent you get better deals. Either I was wrong or my travel agent isn't so good. The problem is he's a friend of the family so I don't really have much of a choice. So tell me those of you who booked your honeymoons. Was it the same price going through a travel agent as it was just looking online by your self???Thanks!

Re: Honeymoons
We booked through Liberty Travel.Air and hotels were the same price. If prices drop, your travel agent should be able to get you the adjusment.
The main reason we booked though an agent was that since we are going to Hawaii, I was not familair with inter-island air travel and transfers.
I also feel that you might get some upgrades since the hotels want us to report back to the agents for future recommendations.

Just saw your other post that you booked at The Excellence. The Travel Agent only beat it by $20 but wanted me to pay in full!
I did it myself and now my credit card will be charged 4 days prior to the check-in date!

Honeymoons
We booked the hotel ourselves and I think we are doing the airfare ourselves too since we are only going to Florida. If you want another travel agent to check let me know. I have a friend who is one and I also have a family friend who is a travel agent.

Re: Honeymoons
I'm sure I could have done it myself but since the travel agent is a friend of the family I felt obligated to book through him . I had to pay a deposit plus the airfare and insurance up front and then balance is due 60 days prior. Whatever at this point I just wanted to get it done! lolThanks for your response!

Re: Honeymoons
Mine was less because my travel agent adjusted our price to lower it when they put out a better deal. and she said if it happens again as the date approaches she will lower it again. Ask him if that is an option! I think it's pretty common with travel agents to be able to adjust prices to the latest deals.. I'm not sure if it differs on where you booked though so maybe that has something to do with it.Welcome New Vendors
