Hey....Weight watchers I feel has the best diet and the best effect. You loose weight slowly and you keep it off. Plus you learn how to eat and what to eat. The point system is easy! My friend just lost 20 pounds in 6 months. She didnt even go to the gym and she eats healthy and feels better!! I think its s safer bet!!! But good luck
Oh and the special k diet also works good...although you are hungry most of the time haha

For me, WW is not the way to go... I'm only looking to slim down about 10 pounds and tone. I'm an average size and I just want to feel super skinny for the wedding. I am also a picky eater and it's very hard for me to limit myself and do the 'points system'.. I want something where I don't have to work at it LOL I'm willing to go to the gym and work there but I want to eat what I want sometimes so that's why I'm not good with that stuff... I know a lot of people are like me too so that's why I thought I would post about this.
Thanks though!

Re: HOODIA...
There is no easy fix or pill when it comes to weight loss. Hoodia is very dangerous as well. it will work for you for a bit, but then it will not. My mother took it as well and as everyone is different, but bloated from it. It also can increase your heart rate as any other diet pill... 10 lbs is a sinch to loose if you just eat right and in appropiate portions.... please please please be careful w this pill and make sure you pay attention to any feelings you have that just aren't right. Yes it may come from a plant in which it is considered natural but ... it's still a pill mixed with chemicals... just be careful. I'm sure if you cut out certain foods and drank plenty of water you would loose the 10 lbs in a few weeks.

key words loose weight slowly... exactly. If you loose it too fast, its not good for you and it will come back. It's dangerous to loose too quick, you need vitamins, proteins, fats, and sugars in your diet. Believe it or not... I've done ww and still do. It's easy and I've lost 35lbs on it.

Just because it says that its all natural doesnt mean it is....because its not approved by the FDA they can put on the ingredient label whatever they want b/c no body is checking it if theyre making false claims about the ingrdients contained in it...
I have to agree here, the truth is that it is not natural to us because it is not a naturally occurring substance that is produced in our bodies. However, I have tried Hoodia, and am impressed that I did not feel hungry while on it. I would say to ALWAYS be cautious when using drugs that are not FDA approved. And Dani, you should also just use caution, being 'extra thin' can have health consequences, so please use caution. it's better to be healthy

Re: HOODIA...
Just please be very careful...There have been many things on the market that claim to be one thing or do certain things and down the line you will find out the negatives about it. Whether or not it is natural, which btw there are natural plants that do have an effect and some are even dangerous, so just because it is natural does not make it safe. The problem is that you are not eating, your body is not getting everything it should. You dont want to suffer from malnutrition. Just cutting out anything can effect your body.
I went on a strict diet two years ago, exercised 4-6x a week, ate very healthy, no pills no nothing. Problem is that i wasn't eating alot of iron. Made sure i had lots of protein and vitamins and other things. Well I was very weak for a while, i would get dizzy spells all the time and whenever i suddenly got up, my knees would get weak, i couldnt see well. This happened ALOT. I found out it was because of not enough iron in my body so i had to make sure to get enough iron in my diet after that. Point is that even when you are being healthy and not doing anything outrageous it can still hurt you. You have plenty of time until your wedding. I mean basically if you lose even 2 pounds a month then you will be at your goal weight.

Re: HOODIA...
I can understand wanting to look great on your wedding day, but please be careful taking this. I have had several friends that took all different kinds of diet pills over the years that were all being called 'completely safe and effective.' Years later it turned out that they weren't safe and a few of my friends had severe health problems that the doctors said was from taking those pills. My step father tried taking some form of an 'all natural' diet pill and got rushed to the hospital with severe chest pains. He thought he was having a heart attack. I know how hard it is to avoid cravings, but there are healthier ways to lose weight. My doctor highly recommended Weight Watchers to me a few months ago because I have quite a bit of weight to lose to be considered healthy. I have the biggest sweet tooth and craved junk food all the time. I have been on WW for a month now and have lost 10 pounds. After the second week my cravings are gone and I get full so fast. You can still eat whatever you want on WW, you just learn about moderation and try to eat well the rest of the day. I never thought I could count points on foods and keep track of everything I ate, but coming from someone who resisted it at first...I love it and I have never felt so great and I have so much energy now. Just please be careful. There are other ways of losing if that's what you really want to do.

Re: HOODIA...
Wow, I'm surprised by some of the comments... I totally respect all of your feelings and I appreciate the concern. Like I said, I'm trying to lose 10 pounds here... I'm not trying to get myself to be under 100 pounds or something crazy. Infact, as thin as you all think I am (thank you very much BTW lol b/c I don't think I'm that thin) but in any event I have other people (including my primary care doctor) telling me that I could lose ten pounds and that I am not all that skinny... So maybe it comes from that?? I don't know... But it's not a big deal, I'm not trying to become skin and bones but I like to be very fit, trim and lean... I don't know why I like curves on other people but I guess we are all our own harshest critics.
I did not mean to 'scare' anyone by the way I think- I'm just being honest. I know I'm not the only one who looks at herself and thinks 'sloppy' and I'm usually never satisfied but again, I'm very tough on myself.
I wanted to post again just to post the name of the one I'm using but I'm looking at the bottle and it just says 'Hoodia Gordonii' The ingredients only say: Hoodia Gordonii 500 MG and 'Whole plant, less roots' Hmm... Sorry I don't have more information. Then it says, this product has been approved by the FDA and the only other ingredient is a 'pharmacuetical glaze' which basically is a coating on the outside so you can swallow it easy... BTW, it smells REAL bad!!! ugh!
FYI: Don't smell the pills
And again, I appreciate all the 'concern' I see how you guys feel the way in which I think is 'upsetting' but I'm just being honest-- I'm never satisfied and it's not just with my weight-- I'm particular about my clothes, hair, teeth, etc. I guess I'm just always worried about looking my best But I'll take the thoughts into consideration- and I'm only going to try this for a short term period until I lose the ten pounds I feel is making me 'flabby'
Thanks guys

Dani, I'm sorry if I hurt you in anyway by my comment, but I am a bit worried because I see you as a healthy woman just the way you are. We all just want you to be careful because we care about you.
Again, I am sorry if I hurt you at all.

Nah, it's OK... I try sometimes too hard to handle other people's feelings with care so sometimes I get a bit sensitive when others just come right out and say things-- I appreciate your care and concern very much!
And thank you for the compliments... that was very kind. I just keep hearing my doctor telling me that I might be having knee pain b/c I'm a little 'overweight' I never thought of myself as overweight and I keep hearing him in my mind and I'm thinking to myself 'yikes, I'd better get to the gym or something' ya know?
I mean, I have had a bad knee my whole life b/c I injured it in basketball-- I don't think it has to do with that??
Weird, but paranoia has set in lol
ETA: and then again I'm ALWAYS hard on myself when I see myself in pics... I just hate the way I look-- I always feel like I look sloppy.
Again, this is how I feel about myself ONLY-- I'm really only a critic of myself-- so if you are reading this and a size ten please don't think I hate you! LOL b/c it really is only in my head about my own body... Hard to explain... and I know I over-exaggerated a wee bit and I do that a lot about trying to look anorexic-- I was just kidding- I really mean more like slender thin- that's how I like myself to look-- Just wanted to kind of explain that a bit...

I am so afraid to take pills like that...Even though most of them say it is a vitamin and it's, well, natural...I still feel weird...Be careful!

Re: HOODIA...
I completely understand the way you feel! I am the same way! BUT, I have to say, what concerns me about your post is your doctor!!!!!! It seems a bit absurd to call you overweight (judging of course by pics only, so I could be off) and tell you it is injuring your knees as a result. JMO...not meant to upset you or anyone else.

I kind of have to agree
definitely agree here. To each their own but I just have to say that cocaine is also made from a 'plant' and that's obviously NOT healthy for you either and can give you the same effects as with your 'all natural drug'.
