Re: Hoover Floormate
I was told not to use the brush because it might scratch the floor.I know pergo isnt supposed to scratch but hubby worked so hard I dont want to take any chances. He was so proud of himself

Re: Hoover Floormate
february bride- it works! its great b/c you can sweep and mop at the same time I recommend you use the clorox cleaner that comes w/ the clorox mop or windex or lemon ammonia mixed w/ warm water some cleaners are not good for the floors

Re: Hoover Floormate
Right now I use this cloth mop thing and spray pergo cleaner...but it's such a pain in the butt!
The floormate is kind of expensive so I didn't want to buy it unless I knew it worked. I think I may get it....now DH can do all the mopping!
One more question...does it take long? Obviously you have to vacuum first...but do you have to go over the same spot a couple of time to clean and dry?

Re: Hoover Floormate
It doesn't take that long you do have to go over it a couple of times depending on how dirty the floor is. It takes a little longer on carpet. The only thing I dont like is that it gets very heavy after a while. But it works and I think it was worth the purchase

Which model do you have? 2800 , 3000 or 3010
And can you shut the scrub brush feature off?

Re: Hoover Floormate
I have it and LOVE IT!!!! I use it to vaccuum my Pergo but I haven't used it to wash it because the Pergo said I should only use a damp mop and the Floormate puts out a lot of water/cleaner. The Pergo said that if you use a lot of water on it then it will get in the joint and swell the material, or something. Does anyone else besides Tammy use it on laminate? I highly recommend getting it!

Re: Hoover Floormate
BTW, it has three settings:
dry pick up - vaccuum wet scrub - scrubbing, if you pull the trigger then it squirts out the cleaner/water combo otherwise the brush just go wet pick up - squeege dry

Re: Hoover Floormate
sasha- there is a drying feature wet/dry scrub takes up almost all the water and whatever spots it leaves I or craig, he always finds them! Hit it w/ a paper towel
