i went to a wedding recently and there was a hotdog kart. they were serving hotdogs, there was saurkraut and onions, ketchup and mustard, and they were also serving pretzels. the wedding was buffet style, but there was hardly ANY food at cocktail hour, the buffet food took a really long time till it was ready, so everyone was eating the hotdogs just because we were starving!! and then everyone was complaining that they didn't feel well, and they were mad that hot dogs were a menu choice at a wedding.
seriously, what do you think about it??

Maybe to fill the space inbetween the ceremony and reception... or after party. I dont think I would enjoy it at my reception....JMO

My RH offers it and I was thinking that if I added the extra hour on (not for VH just for partying and drinking) they would probably throw it in. I would like to have it set up in the lobby or by the valet while people were waiting for their cars for good drunk food. Its hot dogs, pretzels and cheese I think. I hope it doesnt seem weird, but I would absolutely not have it in my reception. I think those options to have during the actual party are more for bar/bat miztfa (sorry for the spelling!)

actually north ritz club has a 'kids station' as part of the CH and they have hot dogs, burgers, chicken fingers, french fries
kinda cute if youre having a lot of kids

We are doing an after hours party at the Bridgeview and will probably have a station like this then (i.e., sliders, pretzels, hot dogs, etc.). It's actually a station choice for the cocktail hour, but I wouldn't do it then unless it was 4th of July or some other summer holiday. I'll definitely indulge after a few drinks when no one is looking!!

I agree with everyone else... Hot dogs wouldn't be a good idea to have at the reception as part of your main meal.... Hot dogs and reception halls just don't seem to go together...
If you have a young crowd that likes to drink then maybe afterhours it would be a good idea... I don't know

Cute idea! Not for us though!!! It sounds like something was up with those hot dogs. I would have check if the hot dogs were cook well. If not that they might have expired. That would not have been good.
Hot dogs, not for our wedding. The closest thing to that we might have at our wedding if they have it Pigs in a blanket for cocktail hour.
