hotel block

Is $129 a reasonable price?

We really have no OOT guests and the ones we do have will end up staying with family anyway.

Room block is generally for our friends because we'll be having our after party there and they will want a place to crash.

Hotel has an indoor pool, hot tub, restaurant and bar/lounge.

Does not include bfast or a shuttle or any other extras.

Yes! We stayed over for a friends wedding and paid 180, that was a little mucg

I think it's reasonable! I've paid that for a hotel in SI for a wedding and it's really not bad at all.

Its the Islandia Marriott on the north service road of the LIE.

I liked it because its central for our location plus it has the indoor pool
hot tub
restaurant
lounge/bar

plus

I liked that we aren't responsible for any of the rooms that don't book. We only blocked off 10 rooms but if we only book say 7, we aren't responsible for the other 3. That and we didn't have to leave a deposit or anything. Another bride on here mentioned she stayed in the bridal suite there and said it was very large and good to get ready in and had no problems so I looked into it.

I just called about a bus service from the Rh to the hotel (the place that the Marriott recommends and said I would get their discount for)

1 way 28 passenger is $270+grat
1 way 33 passenger is $290+grat

is that high? It seems high to me but I haven't called anywhere else yet.

definitely reasonable!!

ours is $125 and no breakfast or shuttle is included.

we are going to a wedding in the middle of Mass and its like $175 a night so you are getting a great deal for NY!

Yikes...shuttle is quite expensive. I too want to make sure my guests can get to the RH from the Hotel and visa versa. I just don't want to spend over 250 round trip. I am calling a few places to see if they can charge me by the hour and I have found some reasonable prices like 70 per hour, more in my budget.

My family think I am CRAZY and that i should not worry about the guests..BUT i dont want anyone getting DWI or not having a good time at my wedding.

Yea I plan on getting other quotes.They did say that I don't need to book with them until like 3 months out so I have time with them anyway. I'm thinking they maybe gave me roundtrip quotes instead of 1 way bc it seems way too high.
