Just starting out looking at hotel blocks. I have nothing tocompare prices too. What would you say is the average? What is TOO much to ask your guests to pay?
TIA

I think more than $160/night is too much to ask your guests to pay. JMO!

Days Inns are usually rather affordable. I believe under $100; I'm not sure where they are on LI, but they must exist.

I would try to keep it under 200. We hoped for 150 but couldnt find tat so we had a 159 and a 179 option.

Hotels will def negiotiate. We blocked the Four Points Sheraton. Originally they said $135/night but we got them down to $119/night.

$109 Melville Marriott...I wouldn't want to spend more than $150 though. Definitely negotiate the rate and if you can, look on Orbitz or hotels.com to get an idea...sometimes its a lil cheaper.

If i was a guest i would want to pay no more then maybe 135 other than that they can find there own hotels. It was much easier for me to refer hotels then block rooms cuz you dont know what everyone is budgeting for.
