Hotel Blocking

Hotel Blocking

We are going to try and block rooms today....I am going to throw up - I really don't want my guests to pay $150 or more for the room....I checked LaQuinta and the rate I got online for my date was 189! I'm not sure how much cheaper the rate will be when I block...probably not much cheaper Is anything else close to JT? I'm not from the area so I want to see what other hotels rates are in the area.....I know other brides have asked but I forgot

Re: Hotel Blocking

Unfortunately you arent going to find much cheaper unless its a little motel.
I tried to and the my guests are paying $159.

There isnt really anything close to JT. Closet would be Garden City/Westbury area i think.

Use yahoo yellow pages. put JT's address or just the town in there, and then search for hotels. it will show you the closest ones.

There's a ton of places on old country in westbury / carle place. hilton garden inn, red roof is nearby, and something else right next to chateau briand ....

hotels near JT

Re: Hotel Blocking

ill just block rooms at one of these 150-175 a night hotels, say we are doing shuttle, breakfast through the hotel but let people know there are also other hotels in the area and list them - we have a wedding website and our STD has the link on it - so once we have the hotel info for the hotel we block we are going to send out the STD's.....at least that way people will have a few choices - they can either go home, stay with us at the hotel we chose and have transportation, or they can stay at a cheaper hotel.....i just hate that its on the expensive side, for me its not a big deal but i know for other people 175 is a lot for a hotel room especially after a wedding!

Re: Hotel Blocking

Definitely try the hilton garden inn. It's near the corner of old country rd and post avenue (which turns into merrick ave when you cross old country). Maybe 20 mins from JT? Might have a good rate.
